Trump Scores on Methane Regulation

The EPA overturns a costly Biden rule on natural gas drilling.

President Trump on Tuesday reminded Americans why they voted for him. “I’m officially terminating Biden’s expensive and unnecessary methane regulations to save consumers and energy producers $45 billion in costs,” he announced at a rally in Lubbock, Texas. More deregulation, fewer tariffs, please.

The Trump Environmental Protection Agency is moving to rescind a suite of Biden rules that would have squashed small oil and gas producers. The Biden team generally required producers to invest in expensive equipment and capture natural gas that incidentally comes up alongside oil production because flaring it emits CO2.

This meant producers would have to transport the gas to markets or put it to other productive use by, say, generating electricity on-site. Large producers typically seek to capture and sell incidental natural gas that burbles up, and they have a strong financial incentive to do so. But it’s often not economic for smaller producers in the fracking fields.

Permitting can also make it difficult to build or connect to a gas pipeline. The Biden mandates were ironically pushed by the same crowd that is trying to block gas pipelines and shut down natural gas power plants. Their overarching goal: Keep more oil and gas in the ground.

The EPA estimates that roughly 77% of oil wells in the country are “marginal,” meaning they produce 15 barrels a day or less over a year. These account for 5.6% of U.S. oil production. Most owners of marginal wells are small, with 65% owning 10 or fewer. Many are located on family-owned property with royalties from production helping pay the bills.

The Biden rules would have forced many marginal wells to close. The Trump EPA estimates that its deregulation will add 210 million barrels of oil and 1.41...

“The Trump Environmental Protection Agency is moving to rescind a suite of Biden rules that would have squashed small oil and gas producers.”

First of all, it isn’t Trumps EPA, it’s the citizens’.

It’s one of the special reasons voting in a person that didn’t dedicate his life to politics and playing table tennis with people’s lives is so important for our survival as a nation. Our whole history started when the first winter of the settlement in our country at Jamestown almost was a disaster because of a lack of individual responsibility and a collective theory of survival, run like socialism.

Originally, Jamestown operated under a communal “common storehouse” system where all labor and provisions were shared. Because this caused a lack of individual motivation and agricultural neglect, leaders like Sir Thomas Dale abolished the system and allotted private land parcels to each man. This incentivized the colonists to aggressively farm their own plots. And the small business owner was created.

And Trump started small and grew with the American Dream. After graduating from college in 1968, he joined his father Fred Trump’s large residential real estate company in Brooklyn and Queens (Trump Management). He took over leadership of the company in 1971, renamed it the Trump Organization in 1973, and shifted its focus to large commercial skyscrapers, hotels, and multi-million-dollar developments in Manhattan (such as the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower. He grew and took his businesses and all the employees with him.

And he is applying what he did to small businesses today to make American strong again by trying to shift all the small businesses into a band of brothers to make them support themselves and grow. That’s not a politician...that’s a businessman who understands history. The position of POTUS is not a politician, it’s a CEO for no more than 8 years. And his “company” is thriving. Don’t break up the team that is prosperous for a languishing state of stagnation, emptiness, and a lack of fulfillment or well-being. We are the best there is. We need to stay there. Vote.

Bravo. You get it. Our problem as always is the clueless middle who decide elections. They are half informed and never hear this kind of info. They tend to vote based on the sound bite of the moment.

” They tend to vote based on the sound bite of the moment.”

The US society has been dumbed down to a world of expectations. We are taught to wait for success by letting someone else earn it for us. We are a world of sidewalk supervisors rather than achievers. We have no aspirations, i.e. directional and identity-shaped goals, to attain. (Intrinsic) Therefore, do we really exist when we can’t even expect the handouts thus becoming inane and vampid leading to nugatory? It don’t take much higher than a room temp IQ to understand that. And if you don’t, you truly are of no value, worth, or consequence. And those that bend you over are satisfied with that until they have to produce enough lies when they need you for some filthy job they don’t want to dirty their hands with. But that can be the only real handout you’re going to get. And with that you’re destitute of even your self respect.
