Ilhan Omar isn’t ‘Squad’ rep’s real name as feds’ bombshell docs give huge clue she did marry brother

The “real” name of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has been revealed in a federal court filing with an identical surname to that of her ex-husband — and rumored brother, The Post has learned.

Prosecutors referred to the Minnesota Democrat as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar,” in a Wednesday filing in DC federal court, which officials and legal experts said was indicative of the evidence compiled so far in an immigration fraud investigation into the “Squad” rep.

A source familiar with the investigation confirmed that Omar is not the congresswoman’s “real” last name, which was first reported by Fox News. It’s unclear what charges could result from her purported use of an alias.

Attorney General Todd Blanche also told The Post Thursday, “I don’t think [Assistant United States Attorneys] would make up names,” when asked about the surname nearly identical to that of her former spouse, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who has been rumored to be a blood relation for more than a decade.

“Evidence that’s collected is used in motions,” Blanche said.

Previously, prosecutors and legal experts indicated that the Department of Justice was seeking to bring an indictment alleging immigration fraud that would fall within a 10-year statute of limitations.

If Omar used an alternative name — or an erroneous birth date — on immigration forms, passport renewals or other documents over the past decade, she could face charges for that action.

Omar and her staff have previously denied the accusation that she married her brother in 2009 to help him apply for a green card.

I've been under the impression that SHE lied about her birth year and used the marriage to HIM to get into the USA fraudulently. Her helping her brother to sneak in is a different story. Unless I misunderstood the earlier allegations.

someone explained elsewhere a day a two ago, that while in the refugee camp some other family was also coming to US and Ilhan’s dad made a agreement for Ilhan to use that family’s last name (Omar). Some family was able to get to US and some to England, I think.

So she’s been along time knowing about gaming the system, pretending and manipulating to get what you want.
