Tropical Storm Isaias has formed in the Bay of Campeche. Hurricane Watches will likely be required for a portion of the U.S. northern Gulf coast later today. Additional strengthening is in the forecast.

True, that! Currently, FL is getting soaked all week, unrelated to Isaias.
I live in SE Alabama about 5 minutes north of the Florida Border. We need rain, but not this, lol.
My biggest challenge will be getting the farm animals ready for the wind and rain. Goats don’t like rain and horses like to panic.
The bread and milk will be flying off of the shelves this week.
Wow. 1.
Via con Dios, all along the path.
All the way up to “I” for the first potential hurricane of the season???
Guess that’s what happens when you rush to name every little ripple in the “force”...
All the best getting your home and animals prepped for the storm. I’ve gotten into the habit of keeping ultra-pasteurized milk stocked during storm season. Happy to say I avoid bread these days. Bread and pasta don’t agree with my waistline.
Here in the real midwest, we are getting hotter than normal for October. It was in the 90s yesterday, more expected today. No rain in the last several days. Very cool mornings, but a little warmer this morning, so expecting hot weather later in the day, abnormal for October.
Just watched a short YouTube clip of Ryan Hall saying if it becomes a hurricane on 10/8, it will tie the record set in 1905 for the latest forming hurricane. Headed towards my area but will weaken before I see it. I’m 15 miles north of Montgomery, Al.
Due to the strong El Nino this year, we are anticipating a cooler and wetter winter in FL. Normally, the winter is our dry season.
Catturd has been grousing about it for a few days, understandably. He’s on the dirty side of where this is likely to hit too. Well inland, but still. LOTS of rain headed his way.
And we’ve missed you! But not missed you, if you know what I mean.
And what, pray tell, is the “real” Midwest?
Finally something for the climate change cultists to crow about!
I know what you mean!
Around here, that's Tuscaloosa... just like 'L.A.' is 'Lower Alabama'.
People buy milk and then the electricity goes off for a week..................
I am dead in the bullseye for this one. I will spend this afternoon tying down all my lawn furniture and putting up loose stuff. I’ve been through several hurricanes but never seen an eye. If we have to have this one I hope to do that. I will be picking up downed limbs for days. I did my hurricane grass cutting yesterday (it’s required that you cut your grass before a hurricane, no one knows why).
Yep - I’m on the MS Gulf Coast - hoping the path just east of Mobile Bay is the track it takes.....Apologies to Alabamans and Florida panhandle folks...
