Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested a Venezuelan national who was previously released by a New York City judge after he was charged with emerging from a Manhattan sewer. The man was reportedly part of the “mole man” trend, where individuals look for valuables in the sewer system.
25-year-old Samuel Reveron Ascanio was taken into ICE custody after being released. ICE said Reveron entered the country illegally and had a federal arrest warrant at the time of his September 24 arrest.
The case started when the NYPD received a 911 call reporting three men emerging from a manhole in Manhattan. The report prompted concern, as it was near the United Nations General Assembly and close to the hotel where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was expected to stay.
Reveron Ascanio and another man, identified as a Queens resident, were arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. A third man remained unidentified. According to the criminal complaint, the men said they were looking for “valuables that get washed away in the storm drains and sewers.”

They look for drugs that have been flushed when the cops show up..........
C.H.U.D.
IF they are looking for valuables why don’t they go to the beach and get a metal detector.
How much stuff gets washed into the sewers that are valuable?
I once met a scuba diver who would metal detect in the water off of expensive resorts in the Caribbean. He said the actual beach gets detected over and over again. However, the first fifty feet into the water is where all the good stuff is found. He claimed he could pay for his trip with his findings of jewelry.
HOORAY I.C.E.!
I never thought of that. Maybe they call in tips/drop a dime on their associates in that business. They hit the sewers that night after the bust. Knowing that the stuff that gets flushed ends up down there. Now it makes sense.
Would you tell the cops you were looking for drugs?...........
Searching for that lost IED.
Are we sure it wasn’t Man-dorky who emerged from the sewer? After all, it is home base for leftist Muslo-crats.
They should put a wax or silicone ‘seal’ on these covers so you can tell if its been opened
Fire dept needs to come hose them down.
That ICE van stinks.
That is far more likely than the reason they are giving.
Somehow I don’t believe the cover story.
That’s some funny shit right there!
