President Trump faced questions yesterday about banning MSNBC, CNN, and Politico from the White House grounds. He doubled down, saying they’re fake news and intentionally peddle false stories. He’s not wrong, and for now, they’re done. Starting tomorrow, they’re no longer invited on campus. Yet calling this a muzzling of the press is a gross overreaction. Obama tried it with Fox News; Biden did it to The New York Post. No doubt they’ll be invited back, but for now, the process is the punishment until the inevitable lawsuit is filed.
"I think it’s hard for you to argue against a free press when you’re literally standing in the Oval Office asking questions of the president of the United States. He’s been more accessible and easier to talk to than any president in history. Think about the previous administration, where you could barely get through a press conference. And yet you have the opportunity to stand here in the Oval Office and ask questions to the leader of the free world."

Was there a particular story that kicked this off? I know they do false stories, I saw a liberal guy other day repeating a story that was totally untrue and calling Trump an idiot.
This lib guy was the idiot. The story was Trump claimed he was under the rubble in 911 and had to be dug out and saved. No way to respond to the guy but I did want to. Why do these libs believe everything they read? The left wing press really is so dishonest!
A free press implies a truthful press of which CNN is not. CNN has an agenda and its employees are not journalists, but content creators who spin stories.
The tale is CNN was there when trump entertained the Pope on a yacht in the Potomac. A gust of wind blew the Pope’s miter off his head and into the water. Trump said: “Not to worry, your Eminence, I’ll retrieve your hat.” as which point he vaults over the gunnel, and WALKS over to the hat, picks it up and WALKS back to the yacht and effortlessly jumps back onto the deck and hands the hat to the Pope. The next day, CNN leads off its report with: “Trump Can’t Swim!”
Hahahahaha!
Bfl

Our President Trump has prerogative to welcome or ban any organization from the White House.
😂😂
Odd how press crybabies missed the above facts about Obama and Biden... well, not really "odd"... more like predictably common to their way of covering the news.
There is a huge difference between having the right to say and print anything the media wants and the right to access. There is no right to access — that is the BS put forward by the media and their in-pocket corrupt judges. The media has become nothing more than pampered asses producing propaganda for the democrats. Make them work for it.
The corrupt press try to gaslight through their “questions”.

Well it appears to me that they have not been denied the ability to report so no violation. Keeping out those trespassing is just fine in my book. Report away 🤡. Oh, and don’t forget to mention the only thing that has any bearing on the midterms......gas prices. Everything else? Meh! Would you like your unleaded with or without radioactive additive.
They think they should be allowed to lie anytime they want.
I don't think it implies anything of the sort. In fact, I believe it implies that the press can say what it desires regardless of whether it is deemed truthful or not.
That's a good thing, because if you talk to anyone on the left, they absolutely believe that any media outlet that is remotely conservative is simply lying and should be suppressed. The only thing that protects that from happening is the First Amendment.
