Tucker Carlson all but endorses Abdul El-Sayed, says he was ‘obviously right’ about 9/11

Nicotine-pouch salesman and onetime conservative pundit Tucker Carlson has all but endorsed lefty Michigan Senate hopeful Dr. Abdul El-Sayed while defending his controversial comments about 9/11.

Carlson, 57, who recently fawned over disgraced Democratic former first son Hunter Biden, last week ripped into El-Sayed’s Republican foe, Mike Rogers, for his track record on national security issues and urged the “good people of Michigan keep this man far away from Washington.”

“El-Sayed did not celebrate airplane hijackings or cheerlead Al-Qaeda; he simply said that the U.S. conducting terrorism of its own in response to 9/11 was not exactly an appropriate reaction. He is obviously right,” Carlson wrote***

In a 2021 podcast episode, El-Sayed said, “9/11 scarred our country in profound ways, but what we did after 9/11 scarred millions of other people.

“When we talk about 9/11, we often fail to center them.”

Four days after that, on the 20th anniversary of the attack, the Democrat wrote in a since-deleted tweet, “Today, I mourn the 3K lives, 6K injuries, & infrastructural devastation in NYC, perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my faith.

“Tomorrow, I’ll mourn ~1M lives, millions of injuries, & infrastructural devastation in 3 countries, perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my country.”

“It is disqualifying for a US Senate candidate to believe that Americans should ‘center’ their grief from 9/11,” Rogers previously told The Post.

“Abdul El-Sayed’s attitude towards the worst tragedy in American history is disgusting and makes him completely unfit to serve in public office.”

“Hold on a second. Disgusting? Understanding that the Bush administration was wrong to kill hundreds of thousands of people and waste trillions of dollars in Iraq, even though, again, Iraq did not do 9/11, is disgusting?” contended Carlson, who was once a staunch proponent of the Iraq War.***

This is at least the third version of Tucker Carlson I have seen. First there was the bow-tie-wearing, geeky conservative. Then there was the L.L. Bean, manically laughing populist with a dose of conspiracy theories thrown in—Fox News Carlson.

Now there is the anti-Zionist, “9/11 was an inside job,” and “Candace Owens is my future wife for life” Carlson.

No matter which version, he has been consistently a fake, a phony, and a fraud.

I don’t think money is part of the driver. His family is vastly wealthy. Too bad, because absent that motivation, I can’t account for him losing his mind

I’m suspecting a brain tumor the size of a cantaloupe will soon be found. Otherwise, impossible to explain.

IMHO Tucker most definitely has a mental health issue. A big one. He’s very high functioning at baseline, so he’s been able to be highly successful professionally without having to address this issue - which may have been late presenting and worsened with time.

Tuq’r Bin Qarl’s pride has been hurt. Plus there’s money to be made in pandering to nut jobs.

Any Freepers still support this clear nutcase? His mental issues have been obvious for many years.

Stupid. The Jihadis want to die in the name of Islam. We’re there to help them achieve their goal on our terms not theirs. They are relentless. They will never give up until the infidels are dead, convert or pay jizya. Read the Koran.
El Sayed, ‘You may not hate Muslims, but Muslims hate you.’

Mike Rogers is one I associate with the Neocon Wars particularly Syria where Al Qaeda the kind of folks who perped supported 9/11 were our ‘allies’.

Rogers was on the side of terrorism namely Al Qaeda in Syria IMHO.

So trashing El-Sayed for supporting terrorism only reminds me of where Rogers has been in that department.

His DAD is wealthy.

And yes he has built a fortune being a sock puppet for whoever pays him. Which is the same with most news readers.

If you chart his career you find that he turned on a dime every time he got a new employer. CNN wanted a meek ineffectual "republican" so he played that role. FOX wanted a fire breather but still sort of middle of the road so he played that.

It is all acting.

It is the same with most people in politics as well. The "po minority" that speaks like she grew up in a housing project instead of one of the richest zip code in the country. The tough talking prosecutor who never quite seems to do anything.

Ignore what they say, look at who they are, who they hang out with and what they do.

You will not quite see the real person but you will see more.

Tucker Carlson worked at MSNBC from 2005 to 2008. Maybe it's time he works there again. They may think he's too extreme now.

A man who switches positions this frequently and radically throughout his adult lifetime is one of two things: (a) a fraud who doesn’t actually believe in anything and will adopt any position if the price is right or (b) a lunatic.
