Three of the world's top artificial intelligence companies' CEOs announced Saturday that they believe the industry needs to slow down.
On Saturday, Dario Amodei of Anthropic, Sam Altman of OpenAI and Elon Musk of xAI publicly backed a call to reduce the pace at which AI companies build more powerful models. This announcement comes just days after Anthropic revealed that its chatbot, Claude, was being used to attempt to create bioweapons, spy on Ukraine and scam dating app users.
On Saturday, Amodei posted an article titled "We Must Pace the Frontier." "We must slow the pace at which we improve the capabilities of AI models," he stated.
On X shortly thereafter, Altman responded: "I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier," he stated. Musk followed with only three words: "Dario is right."

And they're now saying "slow it down".
Something has them spooked.
Yet some FR experts insist that it’s all marketing hype, that there’s nothing to worry about.
China isn’t going to slow down.
They’re well behind.

Regulation does not eliminate competition in a global environment.
China will never be stopped or slowed down in their attempt to control the world utilizing AI
<< [China is] well behind. >>
If so, it won’t be for long if we slam on the brakes. And then humanity’s annihilation is far more likely. China’s enemies first.
Maybe these claims will deviate attention from the headlines about OpenAI’s bully tactics.
“Why would you ruin your career?”
“If you don’t want me to be nice, then I don’t have to be nice.”
I tease and cry “Skynet!”, but I really do think this AI is going to ultimately be a tool used against us. With that and the muslim takeover, it’s pretty grim to me.
