Political streamer Hasan Piker is facing renewed attention over comments he made about Lindsay Clancy, days after a Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the case involving the deaths of her three children, as reported by Breitbart.
Piker discussed the case during a livestream after a Plymouth County Superior Court jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict following seven days of deliberations.
Judge William Sullivan declared the mistrial on September 4 after jurors repeatedly indicated they remained deadlocked.
During the livestream, Piker questioned why anyone would automatically side with prosecutors rather than accept the defense's argument that postpartum psychosis played a significant role in Clancy's actions.
“The question is whether or not she did it. The question is more so whether she did it deliberately or did it as a consequence of postpartum psychosis,” Piker said.
“And I think that the defense had a decent amount of evidence to show that postpartum psychosis probably played a role in this because I also can’t understand why anyone would assume that she just, to take the side of prosecutors, basically, assume that she just did this for the sake of cruelty.”
Piker also argued that Clancy had been “failed by the medical system.”

It’s about the chaos, death and destruction of norms. The revolution feeds on it.
I don’t know why anyone here pays the least bit of attention to Piker. He’s just another online troll, like many on our own side.
The reality is 11 jurors agreed that there’s much more to the story than “crazy woman kills children.” In America, that means she’s still innocent of any crime.
She’s clearly disturbed and should be, at least, locked in a mental health facility for the criminally insane for the rest of her life.
Whether or not it was a willful crime is an unresolved question, but it’s a rare DA who will refile on a case where you have a jury voting 11 to 1 for acquittal.

Once upon a time being drunk was an acceptable defense, car or shooting incident or any other incident. Oh hell he was drunk and didn’t mean to hurt or kill that person. He wasn’t in his right mind and didn’t even remember he did it. Those days are long gone and so should the temporary insanity plea.

The Clancy case is the most egregious abuse of psychological defense because, quite frankly, a mother has to be seriously disturbed in some form or another to strangle her three children to death but being disturbed does not begin to excuse her behavior or mitigate the consequences
Will there be copycats? Women has child by lover and kills husband claiming postpartum psychosis?
