'Law enforcement has been notified': Lindsay Clancy's husband threatens legal action for 'outright falsehoods'

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (Court TV) — Days after Lindsay Clancy's murder trial ended with a deadlocked jury, her ex-husband and father of the three victims in the case is threatening legal action against people speculating that he was involved in his children's deaths.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, admitted to killing her three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — by strangling them with exercise bands in the family's Duxbury home. At the time of the children's deaths, Lindsay Clancy was married to Patrick Clancy, the children's father. On Jan. 24, 2023, Patrick Clancy ran to pick up dinner for the family; in the time he was gone, Lindsay Clancy killed the children before slashing her throat and wrists with a knife and jumping out of a second-story window. While Lindsay Clancy has admitted to her actions, she has pleaded not guilty to three charges of first-degree murder, arguing that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Lindsay Clancy's murder trial drew attention from around the world, with people logging on to social media to criticize the prosecution, offer commentary on the case and, in some cases, even suggest that the defendant had not killed her children and accuse Patrick Clancy of being the killer.

"Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign," his attorney, Howard Cooper, said in a statement to Court TV on Tuesday. "This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profits by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims."
Of course the sicko pinkos believe Lindsay is innocent. It must be Patrick who is guilty and should be in jail.

LEA doesn’t care about libel, as it’s a civil matter, not a crime. And it is very difficult to sue trolls on the internet, and they probably have no assets anyway.

"It must be Patrick who is guilty and should be in jail."

Typical of liberal/leftist/retarded women: it is ALWAYS the man's fault. ALWAYS.

They want equality - equal pay, equal rights, equal power. But the one thing they definitely do not want, is equal personal responsibility. But they can't simultaneously insist that women be treated equally, that their hormonal swings and associated insanity cannot be used to disqualify them from any of those things, while at the same time insisting that their post-partum psychosis or other hormonal mood swings CAN be used to excuse their behavior.

All of these women supporting Lindsay Clancey are psychos or morons, and in most cases, both.

There’s a washed up actress, Lisa Renna (?) who has been perpetrating this lie on the internet. I’ll bet he can bankrupt her and the rest of the trolls. Just because they don’t all have deep pockets doesn’t mean they don’t have 401ks and savings accounts he can ravage. They need to be taught a lesson.

Free speech is a fragile thing and precarious. Should libel be be easier to prosecute?

The number of people saying this on social media is extraordinary: “If you had actually watched the trial you would know that her husband framed her!” - even though she’s *admitted* to having done it herself and her innocence is not even what she or her defense team is pursuing - they are pursuing not guilty by reason of insanity.

All of them that can be identified should be sued.

It’s a tort, not a crime, yes.

Tort action should be pursued...it is the only method of accountability and deterrence.

It would not surprise me at all if the Governor of Massachusetts pardoned Lindsay Clancy. It would be typical. And it most likely would not be held against her in the next election; in fact, it would probably be an enhancement.

Indeed any woman then who has had children is a ticking time bomb and should not be in military service.

Lisa Renna ... I don’t know where I remember her from, but what I DO remember is her big, puffy fake lips. Look up her images & you’ll see them (blech).

There are several FReepers who come right out and say the same thing. They ignore that he was out while during the period that the children were being killed.

"Uh, she confessed."

"Don't believe the woman!"

“...the jury foreperson reported that one juror refused to follow the law on reasonable doubt...”

Does anyone outside the jury room even know the particulars of this juror’s position and how he wasn’t following the law?

Someone explained how this Clancy trial came about.

In that state, she had a choice. She could say they she is Not Guilty and go to a trial that the defense would have the burden of proving that she was not guilty BUT you obviously can’t use an insanity defense because you are claiming that you did not do it at all. That someone else did it, just not you.

Or, Guilty by reason of insanity which is what she chose.

If she did not kill those kids she would have chosen the first option, but she couldn’t because the evidence was very clear that she did do it and there was nothing that Big POS Red could do to change the truth.

If people believe that that that attorney Big Red was so brilliant, don’t they think that he would have done everything possible to find the evidence out there to tip the jury into reasonable doubt that Pat or someone else did it?

But they couldn’t. Reason being, she did kill the kids and no amount of internet sleuths with AI and questionable BS they concoct can make that reality.

Patrick didn’t do it. Yes he got married this year. That is not a crime to want to start a new life. Who he married is not the issue here. Even if he would have had an affair, (nothing was ever offered in the trial that this was true), that would not make it okay to kill the kids to spite him.

Come on... let’s extend the abortion timeframe out to 5 years old.

Do these psycho’s even realize how unbalanced they sound?

The media is running with it...
