Gun control activists demanded better data. What they got surprised the heck out of them
Fox News via MSN ^ | Sept. 4, 2026 | Amy Swearer

A Georgetown professor just taught gun control activists an important lesson: When you criticize studies that don’t support anti-gun talking points, be careful what you wish for — you just might get it. In this case, they got an unprecedented amount of new data that obliterates their narrative.

In 2021, Professor William English published the findings of his National Firearms Survey, by far the most comprehensive assessment of gun ownership ever conducted. The data demonstrated that defensive gun uses were commonplace, that ordinary Americans really like the weapons gun control activists hate most and that longstanding stereotypes about the "sort" of Americans who exercise their Second Amendment rights were misplaced.

Yup, libstripper.
The lefturds have very little belief in the precepts of Americanism.

The more you study the subject of gun control, the more you learn about government out of control.

Don’t go anywhere without my shooting iron!! Glock 40 cal is always handy. Even on my end table next to my recliner. And no, the little critters don’t bother it.

But Talarico has pretty much countered this whole narrative: God doesn’t want you to own AR-15’s.

Jesus said, “Sell your cloak and buy an AR-15 and plenty of ammo”. Words to that affect.

An armed society, is polite society.

Why don’t bag guys try robbing folks at gun shows?

How many rapes are at gun shows? Has that ever even happened?

Funny how people like to portray the American gun culture as the “wild West” and crazy.

Yet that is where you’ll find the most polite folks and have practically no crime. Heck, it starts in the parking lot when you get there and ends as soon as you drive away.

I don’t always carry on my person, but I have guns in my vehicles at all times. Sometimes I carry on my person, but not often. I have a CHL although I don’t need it in Texas. But some of my projects are in schools and with the CHL I can leave my gun in my vehicle.
I like a double action 38 special for personal carry
Don’t have to worry about a round in the chamber and good for up close and personal where I expect I’ll need it
But I do carry a semi auto in my truck and FJ Cruiser
I only have 19 guns, I’m a piker
When my older brother died he had over 400 guns. I got his S&W Model 19

Just an anectdote. When we lived in Orange County, NY in the mid 90's. To alleviate overcrowding in the homeless shelters NYC sent some of their homeless to a former prison in Chester. Before long there was a rash of break ins, muggings assaults etc.
In what can only be described as either shrewdness or cluelessness a town Councilman stated he was "shocked and concerned" about the sudden rise in shotgun and rifle sales at the local gun shops and the then newly opened Dick's Sporting Goods nearby. Almost overnight the crime rate in Chester plummeted, NYC stopped bussing their homeless there and the city ended up selling that property at a $2million+ loss. An armed society is a polite society.

Yep. The data clearly shows it....but you would not believe how hard gun grabbers fight to avoid admitting it. I even had one on another board tell me “gentrification” was the cause of the sudden drop in crime and murder.

I’m sure it had nothing to do with 29 states now having constitutional carry and SCOTUS requiring all the “may issue” which in reality meant will not issue states to be “shall issue” states for concealed carry licenses.

The 2026 Survey by William English is the best designed, best conducted survey on gun ownership and use in the USA, ever done.

****************************************************

“Iron” and then “Glock” in the next sentence? You trying to give me whiplash (snicker)??

Glock is a good and reliable weapon, but I like my iron (steel) 1911s.

I also carry everywhere.

You Take Care.

G17 is my current Carry.

Typically that, and my G19 in the glove compartment.

The 17’s mags work in both.

“Gun Control”? Sure… control where you point it, control it when you fire it, control it when you holster it.

And if they try to take them from you… Then you control where and when to use it. Because that’s the day it’s for.
