A Utah judge paved the way for Tyler Robinson to stand trial for the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Sept. 1.

The ruling comes nearly a year after Kirk, 31, was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025. Prosecutors laid out several key pieces of evidence they say links Robinson, 23, to the shooting over the course of a weeklong hearing in July.

Robinson's defense attorneys, meanwhile, worked to cast doubt on the evidence, including DNA and ballistics analysis, with hours of questions about the scientific methods used and error rates.

It would be wonderful if somehow we could finagle a double header execution with Tyler Robinson and Lindsay Clancy.

There was a question on whether the death penalty could be applied. Now it’s official.

Just the fact this took a year to even decide makes this case a travesty of justice already. No justice for the victim only a mighty struggle to use misplaced empathy for the murderer.

And Robinson’s defense team immediately delayed the next steps.

Pretrial Conference is scheduled for October 23, 2026.

DELAY,DELAY,DELAY is the only thing the Defense Lawyers are good at.

Robinson's defense attorneys, meanwhile, worked to cast doubt on the evidence

Robinson admitted to shooting and killing Charlie Kirk to his roommate and it was recorded. What am I missing? What was the controversy about Robinson being charged for murder?

“Why did it take so long?”

They should have asked me. I could have told them that a year ago.
