Israel did create a train wreck in terms of their image.
This is dangerous because Western politicians are worse than a whore, not joking about that.
They will throw anyone under the bus in a second if they think it can help propel their party or themselves into office. Having a “bad image” carries consequences.
It does not matter than Israel is in terms of interests 100% aligned with the West, that even Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, work with Israel on the top level security issues (behind closed doors).

Heck, I can even imagine Democrat party Jews saying “Yeah but at least the train tickets were free.” A bad taste joke for sure but truth.
