As Tyler Robinson's defense team prepares for a ruling on whether or not their client will face trial for the assassination of Charlie Kirk, they've now been reduced to pushing back against the online conspiracy theorists like Candace Owens who claim that Robinson was not Kirk's alleged killer.
A couple of weeks ago, the defense filed a motion arguing the case shouldn't qualify for the death penalty because Robinson didn't intend to hurt anyone other than Kirk. Absent from that motion were any of the arguments and so-called evidence laid out by Owens and the rest.
Now another transcript from the court, the Robinson defense team is distancing itself from the "crazies."
🤣Tyler Robinson’s own defense attorney just publicly clapped the entire Candace Owens–Baron Coleman podcast industrial complex.
“We’re not talking to crazies.”
“I’ve received some wacky phone calls and e-mails.”
“It’s noise.”
“We’re not talking to crazies.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

"There's a reference to, you know, unstable people coming to the courthouse, to conspiracy theorists saying things online. We're all aware of that. I mean, I don't know what the court has read. It's none of my business. I've received some wacky phone calls and emails, people telling me what they think happened here. It's noise. We're not litigating this case in the press. We're not talking to crazies," the transcript read.
Baron: The defense is sending us secret coded messages.
The defense: We aren’t speaking to the crazies.— Social distancing champ (@LadyGriz) August 25, 2026
They'll probably take this to mean coded messages, too.
She will be sued when this is over.— Sassafrass84 (@Sassafrass_84) August 25, 2026
Probably.
The crazies will just say it’s because the defense team has been compromised, nevermind that Tyler could fire them at will…— Mike SoRelle🇺🇸 (@MikeSoRelle) August 25, 2026
There's always a conspiracy.
Even Tyler Robinson's attorney knows that Candace Owens and her cult followers are just a bunch of crazies. https://t.co/v03oJMc0fc— DanielArmstrong81 (@Daniel142292321) August 25, 2026
They're just trying to do their job, and the online conspiracy theorists are making that harder.
I would love to say this puts the whole thing to rest, but the automatic, default response is ALWAYS going to be something like "Actually, the defense lawyer is in on it too, OBVIOUSLY!"

It won't end. Not even if this goes to trial (which it likely will), or if Robinson is found guilty. The grift is more important than the facts, alas.
Tyler Robinson's defense just called Candace crazy. pic.twitter.com/RenqT5TWHk— Salty Cracker (@SaltyCracker9) August 25, 2026
We all know who they were referring to on this.
LOL
Tyler Robinson’s own defense team just called the Candace Owens conspiracy theorists “crazy.”
They said they’re receiving from really wacky phone calls from these people.

Instead doing some self-reflection, the candy cult will take this as proof the defense team is “in on it.”

The preliminary hearing wrapped up on July 10, and prosecutors have until August 18 to respond to this filing. Robinson has not yet entered a plea, and a plea agreement may still be reached as both sides continue to file motions with the court. Judge Tony Graf is expected to rule on whether the case will go to trial on September 1.

Working late tonight, nothing about mail in ballots ?
Candace Owens should be called as a witness, by either side, and then destroyed while under oath.
Candace Owens is frickin nuts.
She’s not a fact witness in the case. And she can’t be an expert witness, either. She has no expertise in anything except pathological lunacy.
LOL !
That’s what I was thinking, how would she have any firsthand knowledge of the case, she wasn’t there when Charlie Kirk was killed, all she has is what everyone else has unless you believe she has “Sources” which she claims that have proven to her the validity of the conspiracy.
On a side note...
> shouldn’t qualify for the death penalty because Robinson didn’t intend to hurt anyone other than Kirk
Does the law actually say that? Is it a valid legal strategy to say “I didn’t intend to hurt anyone except the guy I murdered”?
Wow. Defense lawyers for assassin Robinson are disavowing Candace? There’s a message in there.
Her train left the rails long ago.
I'm wondering the same thing. But I'm not a lawyer. This one makes my head explode.
I doubt she cares that she’s obviously wrong..hasn’t stopped her so far.
Didn’t she used to be sane a few years ago?
Kind of a loaded headline. They aren’t throwing her under the bus - she was never an ally.
They have to do their jobs within the realm of reality - hence their actions will contradict those of Candace Owens.
Next thing we’ll hear, she’ll be dating David Hogg.
Has Tyler Robinson personally admitted that he shot and killed Charlie Kirk?
Or are his attorneys merely speaking in hypotheticals at this point?
And what is Candace Owens saying? That Tyler Robinson is either A) the killer but working for someone else (i.e., a patsy, such as for France or Israel), or B) simply not the killer (i.e., the bullet, or whatever it was that hit and killed Charlie Kirk, came from some other gun, or some other armed individual)?
“how would she have any firsthand knowledge of the case”
How’s THIS for a conspiracy theory ... ?
Imagine if you will ... It actually was CANDACE herself who is responsible for Charlie’s murder. She was so consumed with hatred for Charlie for picking Erika instead of her. Plus, she was consumed with jealousy of Erika’s white-ness and blonde-ness, and being mother to Charlie’s kids.
I wonder what she’d do if this whole thing were to be turned around to put HER in the limelight and under suspicion. She’s more than generous when it comes to defaming and accusing others, and she believes that she can do it with impunity. If the Defense were to suddenly imply that she was the instigator — the “brains” behind the operation — it could get interesting. 😁 Maybe THAT would make her STFU.
“Does the law actually say that? Is it a valid legal strategy to say ‘I didn’t intend to hurt anyone except the guy I murdered’?”
LOL! Of course it isn’t valid. If it were, 3/4 of imprisoned murderers would be free as birds. Every person who offed a spouse would be not guilty, for example.
Talk about grasping at straws. They do get points for creative thinking, though.
“Has Tyler Robinson personally admitted that he shot and killed Charlie Kirk?”
Yes.
“And what is Candace Owens saying?”
It was the JOOOS.
It was Erika.
It was Egypt.
It was American military.
It was staff at TPUSA.
It was the exploding microphone.
There’s more, but I can’t remember all of them.
Candace Mengele Owens
Exactly
Is this simply Candace Owens’ particular manner of grieving the loss of her friend?
She seems to be refusing to believe that Kirk’s devoted ideological enemies, and there were and remain many, are all innocent of his death.
