100% true. Iran is not a unified country at all. There are certainly more liberal factions waiting to take over if the opportunity presents itself. The IRGC has some bitter-clingers remaining. Only Iranian people and esp. government insiders themselves can manage this.

Its not something the USA can accomplish with troops or a presence there.

And if that doesn't happen, keep them in the headlock.
