A viral video showing Department of Homeland Security officers detaining a woman as she attempted to board a Southwest Airlines flight at Denver International Airport has prompted criticism of the Texas-based airline on social media.
The video, posted Tuesday on Instagram, shows 27-year-old Chantal Alejandra Morales Rojas of Ecuador being detained by plainclothes Department of Homeland Security officers while attempting to board a flight from Denver to Oakland.
In a statement, DHS said Morales Rojas entered the United States on a visa that allowed her to work as an au pair through Jan. 4, 2025, but remained in the country after it expired "in violation of our nation's laws."
The footage quickly spread across social media, where many users criticized Southwest Airlines, accusing the carrier of helping facilitate the arrest. Some commenters said they planned to boycott the airline or cancel upcoming flights.

Southwest Airlines said it did not inform DHS officials about Morales Rojas' immigration status, CBS reported. However, the airline said the Transportation Security Administration and DHS have access to passenger information as part of the federal security screening process.

I saw one Southwest employee board a passenger onto a flight without a valid boarding pass.

I have no plans to fly anywhere in the near future, but if I do, I’d prefer Southwest because of this.
Im guessing the one who wrote that tweet is a white, affluent woman who would NEVER invite illegals to stay at HER house, just like with Martha’s Vineyard, they couldnt wait to get rid of them

What is the culpability of the people who hired this woman and kept her employed as an au pair? DOJ seems plenty busy with other things but these guilty employers of illegals need to be rounded up as well and charged. They need a little grief in their lives.
I know of one upwardly mobile couple who hired a Latino and required that she only speak Spanish to their children Their grandfather boasted that it was the way of the future and so we had all best get used to it. This, my FRiends, is the mindset of the over-educated elite and why we are in the hell we live. Educated fools who are so open minded that their brains have fallen out.
I will forever be indebted to SWA for many great memories of times in the back of the airplane with beautiful young ladies and free drinks. Great job Herb!

Nobody’s getting frog marched, but Southwest long ago became the the flying Greyhound Bus, so I never use it unless it’s the only carrier available.
