Democratic Senate contenders are dramatically out-raising their Republican peers, according to Federal Election Commission data — with Georgia’s Jon Ossoff and James Talarico in Texas leading the pack.
Eight of the top 10 Senate candidate fundraiser this year are Democrats, whose top contestants have raked in $574 million, compared to the Republicans’ $336 million, per the FEC.
Incumbent Sen. Ossoff (D-Ga.) is the biggest fundraiser on both sides, having raked in a jaw-dropping $77 million as of June 30, and has a staggering $42.5 million in cash on hand.
He’s raised nearly $98 million as a Senate candidate, including the 2020 race.
Second to him is Texas Democrat Talarico with a whopping $68.5 million in fund raising and $21.5 million in his war chest.
Then there’s former Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) with $38.6 million in fundraising this cycle, and former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper with $35 million.
Disgraced oyster farmer Graham Platner, who dropped his bid earlier this month, raked in $21 million, eclipsing incumbent Sen. Susan Collins’ (R-Maine) $16.2 million.
Maine, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Alaska, Texas, North Carolina, New Hampshire, and Iowa are widely considered the most competitive Senate races of this cycle.
Democrats are considered likely to retake the House in the Nov. 3 elections, due to polls and the historical trend of the party in power in the White House losing seats in the midterms.
But the Senate is a tougher call. Based on polls and incumbents, Republicans have an easier path to hold the upper chamber, but Democrats are running neck and neck with them in key races.
Democrats are generally eying Maine, Ohio, North Carolina and Alaska in particular as their easiest path to retaking the Senate.

Great unasked question is, “Where is all this loot coming from?”
Affordability.
So what? Heels Up had what, a billion?
The taxpayers.
Laundered through Deep State.

“Great unasked question is, “Where is all this loot coming from?””
Always follow the money. True campaign reform would require candidates to report the amount campaign receipts and the donors as they are received in a section of their campaign website. The same information would appear on the website of the state board of elections and the FEC. The data base would be searchable by candidate, name of the donor and amount. Summary data by donor would also be accessible. With today’s technology there is no reason for not having campaign finance information transparent and immediately available to voters.
Money gets you the mic but if the people don’t want what your saying you don’t wwin, ask president Harris and president Bloomberg about that..
Ossoff is burning a lot of cash with media ads on both traditional broadcast ads (WSB and the like) and streaming (YouTube) trying to demonstrate something resembling a record. Dude is a useless trustfundian if you ask me.
“Where is all this loot coming from?”
I’m in Florida and I got a YouTube commercial from both of them about four per hour. If they did that nationwide...and in China, I’d imagine that’s where the money is coming from. Talarico comes across as the all-American boy. He only lacked the Eagle Scout uniform.
Certain communist governments and very wealthy liberals are trying to buy elections.
None of that is organic of the people donations
We know where it is coming from. It ain’t valid sources.
Yep. Spot on.
Personally, I find Talarico to be ultra-creepy.
And China
“raked in $574 million”
Let’s have the average donation amount. I bet the $574 million has been given by fewer than 100 donors (Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Soros, etc.).
“Great unasked question is, “Where is all this loot coming from?””
This is EXACTLY why the 17th Amendment needs to get repealed. That way the votes are cast by state reps (who represent local voters, not outside groups) rather than a national or internationally controlling political party, PAC, wealthy donors etc.
The commies have been chipping away at our country for over a century, and much worse in recent decades.
Jon Ossoff is 2026’s Beto Orourke in 2018, except he’s a fraudulent incumbent. Hopefully he loses:
Total Raised: $80.3 million
Challenging incumbent Ted Cruz, O’Rourke shattered national fundraising records for a U.S. Senate seat at the time. His campaign was heavily fueled by small-dollar grassroots donations and digital fundraising through platforms like ActBlue.
Raised 68 million and 21 million on hand😂
Sounds like camel toes campaign spending, have they built a “who’s your daddy” set as well😎
Actblue now there is a criminal organization if there ever has been. We are fortunate that the grifters run it and spend like camel toe, proving money and media complicity are not always enough to win
