Β SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
Psalm 23 "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want" - the crowd would listen attentively. And then, at the conclusion of the Psalm, they would rise in thunderous applause in appreciation of the actor's incredible ability to bring the verse to life.
But one night, just before the actor was to offer his customary recital of Psalm 23, a young man from the audience spoke up. "Sir, do you mind if tonight I recite Psalm 23?" The actor was quite taken back by this unusual request, but he allowed the young man to come forward and stand front and center on the stage to recite the Psalm, knowing that the ability of this unskilled youth would be no match for his own talent. With a soft voice, the young man began to recite the words of the Psalm. When he was finished, there was no applause. There was no standing ovation as on other nights. All that could be heard was the sound of weeping. The audience had been so moved by the young man's recitation that every eye was full of tears. Amazed by what he had heard, the actor said to the youth, "I don't understand. I have been performing Psalm 23 for years. I have a lifetime of experience and training - but I have never been able to move an audience as you have tonight. Tell me, what is your secret?" The young man humbly replied, "Well sir, you know the Psalm, but I know the Shepherd."

Wind and rain today?
Drizzles earlier, but it has stopped and the street is all dry.

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

Howdy, Kathy.
No rain here today but a storm passed JUST west of here a little earlier and the wind kicked up. That outflow cooled things off nicely at least. Pretty toasty today.
It was nice to see you were getting some more rain but darn it, give it a rest for the weekend. It would have been nice to get some sun time on the deck.
You have a break in the rain now but more showers are on the way up.

Hi, Kathy! You're very welcome! Thanks for a beautiful chapel thread.
It wasn't too awful today. 89 for the high, which is SOOOO much better than 99. LOL! No rain, but the rain we had 2 days ago has really helped our green stuff brighten up in the yard.
No rain today, huh. Well, that 58 you have right now sounds pretty good. However, it's 76 here, which isn't bad for us. Nice breeze, too. I sat out for a bit till the skeeters were having me for supper.
Nasty things! π¦π¦π¦π¦

Extra prayers for Israel...

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Hey there, radu!
I wish! I don’t know which radar you’re watching, but there are several rain clumps circling us like we’re the center of a merry-go-round, but we don’t have a drop and haven’t had.
What kind of a day have you had? Hope it wasn’t hot.

Well darn. I hoped you were at least getting some sprinkles.
I looked at NOAA and Accuweather and they showed some light rain over town at that time.
It was a repeat of yesterday here. Hot, muggy, a lot of clouds, and a storm passed just west of here late this afternoon with its outflow cooling things off. Based on tonight’s weather report, tomorrow will be about the same. As will the next few days. *sigh*
