Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) said Thursday that he will not support Todd Blanche for attorney general unless President Donald Trump’s nominee first meets with women who say the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein abused them as minors.
Tillis announced his position during the second day of the acting attorney general's confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, saying the meeting must occur before he is prepared to advance the nomination.
“I have not made a final decision,” Tillis said of whether he will vote to advance Blanche to lead the Justice Department. “Todd Blanche said he’d meet with the Epstein survivors if it could be arranged. I expect that meeting to occur before I’m willing to vote him out of committee. There should be no reason why he wouldn’t.”
Blanche’s nomination faces an unusually narrow path through the committee. Following the July 11 death of Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Republicans hold an 11-10 advantage. With Democrats expected to oppose Blanche unanimously, a single Republican defection could prevent the nomination from reaching the Senate floor.

And Ken Paxton will be added to Judiciary.
What an improvement!
Newsflash tommy. Trump is NOT involved.
Is there any reason the future Attorney General of the USA SHOULD meet with Epstein victims? Is there any indication the US government has prevented any of those women from filing charges against Epstein or any of Epstein’s friends or associates? Will Bill Clinton or Obama join Todd Blanche in meeting the women?
They act like these “victims” can’t just go on tv and say who dunnit and all the details.
The “victims” said they would release the names of the clients....im still waiting.
/massive eyeroll.
This guy thinks he’s important.
Such is the sorry state of the world’s greatest deliberative body.
Thank the 17th Amendment.
Blanche has said several times that the "victims" should contact them.
Where are the victims??
2028 Elections:
John Thune (R-SD)
Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
Chuck Grassley (R-IA)
They should bring back stocks in the public square for this POS. Little kids can throw rotten tomatoes at him.
*(thinking) "Until I get a huge offer from the dems to continue hating Trump. Maybe they'll give me several million dollar resort houses like they did with Bernie?"
No, Tillis. Read history. The search term is "useful idiot"
What “victims?” Like the women who crowded the hearings months ago - every one of whom was an ADULT when they willingly and happily worked for “Jeffrey”? This entire “scandal” is such a ridiculous farce and political football designed to hurt Trump. Any Republican who obsesses over it should be suspect.
The US and the Senate will be better places when this a-hole is no longer a senator and subject us to his childish actions.
Question them why you “ate from the tree”? Do females have any agency at all?
Go back to the virtual signaling NC Senator and tell him I learned nothing that I already knew, now vote confirm me.
“Where are the victims??”
They know what happened to Virginia Giuffre when she was running her mouth.
I doubt Grassley will see another election.
Tillis needs a swift kick in the azz. I hate Socialist RAT Pigs like him.
I think they were paid by the estate and signed non disclosure agreements so there is that.
Those “victims” are likely waiting for Gloria Allred-or some other attorney-to go on TV, or to some congressional committee and say they will talk again-for another legal payday just like they got the 1st time they spoke. That was a few years ago, and it is probably all spent-so someone has to cough up the cash if they want to see more dirty laundry...
He agreed to meet. The better demand was to actually release the files and not be 10% Todd
