From AI:
You are likely thinking of Joint Base Andrews, which is located in Maryland. It is a very common mix-up because both are prominent, historically significant Air Force bases with similar-sounding names. They are on completely opposite sides of the country and serve entirely different military purposes.
Don’t quote AI without vetting. AI is extremely fast, and covers immense scope, but it is often a total idiot.
Time to pull another one out of the boneyard at Davis-Monthan.
WHO are you addressing your reply to??? Doesn’t make sense..
If I remember correctly, a couple of seats on that bird eject DOWNWARD not upward which in the case of low level distress does not bode well for those aboard.
“Edwards Air Force Base” confused me. I was just trying to help others out just in case.
There is a difference in perspective between a plane crashing at an air force base and the airport the president uses.
Indeed, Edwards AFB is a base dedicated to experimental flying aircraft.
The B-52 Strato-fortress initially faced significant performance challenges due to its original Pratt & Whitney J57 engines. These engines were considered under powered, particularly when the aircraft was loaded with a full weapons payload.
There have been problems in the engine mountings.

What is confusing about “Edwards Air Force Base”? It has been around for over 90 years and is the second largest AFB
I was wondering if 0061 was the test bird for the new engines, and it was. I was thinking maybe there were only crew on the upper deck because of that, but it is also testing a new integrated radar system, so I bet there were crew in the “Wine Cellar.”
You have to have at least 600 feet altitude for crew in the basement to get out with a chance of survival.
The President uses Joint Base Andrews, not an airport.
Could the B-52 have been shot down by Iranian shoulder fired weapon?
Andrews AFB sounds like Edwards AFB. I do not know why...

Yes, I have no idea why this post was made. Seems a non-sequitur.
Damn. Prayers for the crew and families.
