The leaders of Ukraine and its close European allies - the UK, France and Germany - have set out out five conditions for reaching a "just and lasting" deal to end the war with Russia.
In a joint statement after talks in London, Volodymyr Zelensky, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said they would "stand firmly with Ukraine".
The five conditions include a stop to the fighting, starting negotiations from the current position in the field as well as "robust" security guarantees for Ukraine.
The leaders reiterated the need for the US to be part of the process at a time when US President Donald Trump's focus has shifted to the war with Iran.

Robust security is demanded. US must provide it. It’s like a comedy skit except the blood is real. Usually life is about leverage not about stompy feet.

Why is Macron still in power? And didn’t he jail his opponent?
As is being done in every leftist “democracy”.

What reason does Putin have to negotiate? The KGB murderer is getting what he wants.

The Euros have armies. The Euros have money. The Euros even have nukes.
It’s their war. Let them deal with it.

The five conditions include a stop to the fighting, starting negotiations from the current position in the field as well as "robust" security guarantees for Ukraine. Which makes sense since Ukraine had previously signed a treaty with Putin, in which both sides promised to respect each others borders.
President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma exchanged documents for ratifying the Treaty on the Russian-Ukrainian State Border and Treaty on Cooperation in the Use of the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait April 23, 2004

Robust security is demanded. US must provide it. Feel free to post where in the article Europe demanded US provide security for Ukraine? Doesn't exist.

Right. It’s not 1945 anymore. What’s going on in Ukraine today is a tragedy.
But as the old saying goes:
Not our circus. Not our monkey.
Fun fact: That’s an old Polish saying.

I really believe there is no interest in peace. Europe wants war, both to deplete Russia, and simply to keep conflict going to help prop up the old-world order. Zelenskyy has no real interest in peace. In war he and his buddies continue to rake in Western money to fund the yachts and suitcases of cash. Also, in war Zelenskyy doesn’t ever have to hold elections and give up power.
Only the young men in Russia and Ukraine pay with their blood. But who cares, really?

It all hinges on US “security guarantees”.
Because Europe is the epitome of cowardly and feckless.

The KGB murderer is getting what he wants
So Pootin wants 350,000 dead Russian troops, another 1.1 million wounded, another 1 million skilled workers already fled the country, 1/3 of the Black Sea Fleet sunk, and half-a-dozen oil refineries on fire on any given day ...
He wants all that??

The U.S. negotiators have been useless as far as negotiating an end to the Ukraine war. So, let's keep the U.S. out of the negotiations and only bring them in after a negotiated end of the war occurs. The U.S. could serve as peacekeepers and perhaps contributors to the rebuilding of Ukraine; but only post-war.

True. He's way into year 5 of getting his military and economy blasted out of existence.

The U.S. could serve as peacekeepersNah.
The Europeans can do it instead but Putin will never agree to that.
To: Obadiah
Europe wants war, both to deplete Russia, and simply to keep conflict going to help prop up the old-world order. Zelenskyy has no real interest in peace. Zelensky gets to stay in power, the Europeans remain relevant plus the UK continues to wage a proxy war with Russia.

Europe wants war, both to deplete Russia, and simply to keep conflict going to help prop up the old-world order. Zelenskyy has no real interest in peace Europe and Zelensky have both repeatedly called for ceasefires, which Putin rejected.
Zelensky has agreed to meet Putin anywhere for negotiations, except in Russia, which Putin has rejected.
Only Putin refuses to stop the war.
