Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded this evening (Wednesday) in an interview with CNBC to reports about a heated “shouting call" that reportedly took place this week between him and U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Lebanon.
“President Trump and I agree on the main issues concerning Iran. Sometimes we have tactical disagreements, but we resolve them," Netanyahu said.
According to him: “The question is whether Iran wants to return to another round of fighting. We’ll wait and see, as they say. The United States and we have shared goals; we will see what we can achieve through an agreement."
He declined to address the phone call itself - but also did not deny what was reported about it.
“There are arguments even in good families," he emphasized.

Trump acknowledged that he said what he said but he didn’t shout it at Netanyahu. I believe him. He’s not a shouter.
Oh PLU EESE !
That is so DumbA,
Can’t have details of stupid Schiff revealed, right ?
Barak Ravid from Axios broke the story because the White House wants it that way.
Ravid broke multiple Trump-Netanyahu stories in 2017-2020 that held up, including details from the first term’s more contentious moments. It happened repeatedly under Obama, under Trump’s first term during the annexation fight, and under Biden over Rafah.
Stuff like this allows Trump to claim he’s not beholden to Israel, even though the ultimate course of action remains unchanged. It’s all political theater to placate the anti-war and isolationist faction in Trump’s base.
And we know it’s political theater because Barak Ravid keeps being able to “break” these stories after all these years, through both Denocrat and Republican administrations.
Israel and we have several shared goals, and one distinctly different goal.
Getting rid of their nuke program, their missile systems, launchers and production, and ability or willingness to project instability through the region directly or through proxies are common goals.
Separately, Israel has a stated goal of Regime Change. We do not. In my opinion, Israel is incapable of ensuring Regime Change. We’re not interested in that goal, in my opinion because it would be too costly (boots on the ground in a huge country) to achieve. So while Israel has its wishes, they can’t and we won’t do it. The Persians, on the other hand could achieve Regime Change if they steel their nerves and accept high casualties for Freedom. The jury has not come back on that.
the Tuckerrhoids on FR were having quite the circle jerk yesterday
He might have shouted about something, and not about other things. Heated debates/arguments can include shouting and talking, both in the same conversation.
Some of this may be intentional (including the leaks) to kinda sorta shut the woke right up about “Trump is controlled by Bibi” idiocy.
The People of Iran won’t revolt until they are sure the warring from the outside is over. After our aircraft carriers pull out and Israel stops flying sorties over Iranian airspace - all bets are off.
President Trump is trying to get the whole ordeal over with, and Israel is certainly not going to stand around soaking up attacks without responding and anyone sane wouldn't expect them to. If Hezbollah continues to attack Israel and Iran continues their attacks, then by all means, let the hounds off the leash.
Iran and its proxies are the current focus of the issues that we're dealing with, but they're being prodded by their own benefactors. It's rather kind of China to keep sending their munitions and other military hardware to Iran which are then able to be studied for countermeasures if needed.
From a pragmatic standing, it would always be best to get the job done with the least amount of effort and casualties on all sides when possible.
No need to be in a hurry. Get the job done and the rest will work itself out after the fact.
“Make America Great Again,” my ass.
I’m guessing Bibi wants to finish what they started and DJT wants to be able to declare ‘peace in our time’ and move on.
Bad guess. I’m ok without guessing. We’ll see what will be and what will be will be whatever it is.
But here’s a clue for motivation of DJT. He wants the Ayatoilets gone for good. He wants it rapped up fast, because of the midterms. But if they’re not gone for good, he knows it will rise up and bite him in the a@@. So he’s looking for a way to do both.
There are elements for a popular uprising finishing them off, but the IRGC and the military are still getting paid, so they’re still loyal. So he wants to stop them from getting paid, so they abandon their posts, or even better, join a popular uprising.
All these “negotiations” are just a screen for keeping the Strait from going back to being a cash conduit for the Ayatoilets until they run out of cash, and can’t pay the IRGC and military anymore. That is my theory anyway, but whatever happens happens. The enemy also gets a vote.
That would be a man by the name of President Donald J. Trump.

Seems Bibi has overstayed his welcome.
They put this out on purpose because too many people were saying that Netanyahu controls Trump. They put this out to try and change that.
They were were. They had their head in the sand and kept denying Trump ever said Netanyahu was effing crazy.
Despite the fact this is a normal state of discourse for Trump.
Trumpers. Can’t stand any dispersions against the Donald.
So Israel has been promoted from 51st state to family?
Exactly - normal state of discourse. Yet axios exaggerated, and gave the Tuckerrhoids an ejaculation. Par for the course for the FR tuckerrhoids and axios.
Israel is the best ally ever!!! God bless Israel and the IDF.
Bibi is a 21st century Churchill.
I thought you were leaving FR??
