Yes, failing NPR had a whole division of reporters dedicated to reporting climate hysteria. It would have been fine if they'd stuck to conservation and science instead of the anti-human cult thinking that says we're all gonna die if we don't stop the farting cows.
Here's the scoop from former Chief Climate Editor Neela Banerjee:
I've been at NPR for six years, and for the last three, I worked as head of its (relatively new) climate desk. We were 10 people who did ambitious, prize-winning enterprise and broke news. We launched an annual network-wide Climate Solutions Week that set the standard for cooperation with member stations and that gave audiences a sense of agency and inspiration amid the planetary gloom. We built a reporting collaborative of more than 50 member stations which covered climate at the local level and became tightly knit in the process. We broke down silos within NPR and helped our colleagues at shows, podcasts and desks understand climate change in their contexts.
It was a grand run. Today, I was laid off by NPR. The climate desk no longer exists separately but has been folded into the National Desk. I have rarely been as inspired or happy as I was working with the nine other journalists on NPR's Climate Desk, and I feel so very lucky to have helped you--and learned from you.
I'm finding my way forward, because as crushing as journalism can be, it has often given me purpose, joy and friendship. Our desk was a testament to that.
I'm glad she made some friends. Everyone needs friends.
Hopefully they all get the help they need after ingesting too much Al Gore and Greta Thunberg!
They probably don't even know that billions of humans are enjoying life without an impending sense of "planetary gloom."
Papers all over are downsizing their climate teams as the 50-year campaign to use the weather to enact Marxism has failed. 👇

I almost posted this.
Amazing what happens when a media outlet has to stand on it’s own 2 feet instead of being subsidized with taxpayer money.
They need to close the whole effing network. Why am I still paying for this garbage?
“Why am I still paying for this garbage?”
IIRC your not
“NPR doesn’t need government money!”
Apparently they do.
Heartbreaking. :>)
Since Trump and Congress cut off the money to PBS and NPR, I see on my local PBS station that they are airing re-runs of old programs like Julia Child.
And Julia Child is far more entertaining than the recent political trash that has been aired on PBS.
And I have noticed PBS’s constant begging for donor money.
It’s also amazing that when a highly profitable technology we’re told will change the course of human history (’AI’) shows up, announces it will take all of our energy and water, proceeds to do so, and then ‘Climate Change’ disappears as a ‘thing’.
It’s almost as if the climate change hoax was being promoted by the same people who are becoming ‘AI’ billionaires (and soon, trillionaires)...
They were begging even when the taxpayers were subsidizing them....................
Just think of where we might be if all the money spent on climate change had been spent on something real.
MAGA
Correction: you made up news. Apparently, there was also a lot of koolaid flowing in the office as well.
“We ... broke news.”
We’re fixing it!
So NPR went from 100 employees to 50?
It is astonishing that NPR has such influence with so few people.
Free Republic should volunteer to take over their global warming desk or we’re all gonna die.
Oh Dear! How will I know when the world is coming to an end now?
TELL YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES TO STOP FUNDING NPR!!!!
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting did not *DIRECTLY* give much money to NPR. Instead, it gave money to largely state-run universities to give to NPR. Now that CPB no longer still reimburses universities for funding NPR, STATE UNIVERSITIES HAVE SIMPLY TAKEN MONEY FOR FUNDING N.P.R. FROM EDUCATIONAL FUNDING!!!!
