Transgender athlete AB Hernandez advanced in three girls' jumping events, earning the top place in two, during the preliminary round of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) state track & field championships on Friday.
Hernandez, who has been at the center of a national controversy for competing in girls' competitions dating back to last May, will now contend for the state title in girls' long jump, high jump and triple jump on Saturday evening.

Under the failed Equal Rights Amendment, that's exactly what would have happened if the Amendment was followed.
It stated: "Men and women shall have equal rights throughout the United States and every place subject to its jurisdiction."
Initially, I thought, "Who could oppose that?". Then I realized that if this was actually followed, there would be no U.S. Women's Olympic Basketball Team or U.S. Women's Olympic Downhill Racing Team. Women could try out for teams, but very few would ever make the teams.

Back in high school I ran the mile. I always came in last for the men but beat all the girls. If only if I had identified as a girl I could have had a boatload of medals!
