A Southern California middle school assembly celebrating the upcoming US 250th birthday sparked furious backlash from left-wing parents and activists who accused organizers of bringing conservative politics into the classroom.
The event, dubbed “History Rocks 250,” was held this week at Canyon Hills Junior High School in Chino Hills and featured patriotic displays, student performances, and speeches focused on American history and civic pride.

Queer Youth Leadership Awards approaching
The Queer Youth Leadership Awards (QYLA) has, in the decades since its inception, honored young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people (LGBTQ+) whose advocacy and activism have made notable impacts in their communities.
That work comes at a time when, across the United States, roughly 525 bills are moving through legislative processes that would in some way affect the rights of LGBTQ+ people.
The proposed laws would, among other things, prohibit certain curriculum, affect which restrooms people can use, limit which sports teams they can play on and restrict what topics can be taught in K-8 classrooms.
The fatigue is real.

Watsonville High School sounds like a really swinging gay place
The new print New Yorker cover shows George Washington with a martini and a weak looking blow out toy, depressed.
“Red, White and Kinda Blue”.
They all want to set us up to be sad or protesting against America for 250.
Bring it on, traitors. I want you to suffer while I’m alive.
This is the virtue of which our Framers spoke, public virtue.
A people who hate their tradition cannot keep a republic.
Leftists know this and is why they rot our institutions from within.
I live in Chino, next City over (obviously) from Chino Hills. There is a large Asian / Indian Community in Chino Hills, I have no idea who was actually “protesting” But Chino Hills is pretty close to 50/50 Republican / Rats.
Actually Republican Young Kim is Assy Rep. for this city and a few more cities in Orange county (Yorba Linda, Anaheim Hills, Tustin, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Villa Park, Lake Forest, Brea (parts), and North Tustin)
I’m sure if the Gov. Greaseball’s gerrymandering law goes through it will wipe her out and most all Republicans that are left in California.
This is why it’s being protested:
“Activists at the school Friday raised questions about the organizers behind the rallies — which include Turning Point USA, the conservative youth organization cofounded by Charlie Kirk, a President Donald Trump ally who was killed in September. The Prager University Foundation and The Heritage Foundation, conservative organizations and think tanks, are also involved.
“District spokesperson Andi Johnston said in an email that representatives from these groups would not be at the event, which includes a trivia game and questions such as, “How many original colonies were there?” and “How many stars were visible on the original American flag?”
“Protesters allege the events were allowed on campus because of the conservative Chino Valley school board that oversees the school district.”
But rainbow flags or OK in the classroom.
