Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Thursday he will resign and take a private-sector job with nonproft law firm Alliance Defending Freedom.
The “surprise move” was first reported by the Columbus Dispatch.
Earlier Thursday, Yost’s spokesperson did not confirm or deny the report when contacted, but half a dozen statehouse sources who wished to remain anonymous said Yost is expected to leave his job ahead of the November election....

I wonder if there is some sort of hot lawsuit Alliance Defending Freedom is about to drop.
Pulling an MTG. We shouda voted on expelling her b4 her retirement checks kicked in. I’m sure we’d have 100% democrat support. It’s called crossing the aisle.
Yeah her 17K pension starting when she’s 62 is a real blast for her considering she is worth 25 million.
I guarantee you that buddy boy won't be eating raman noodles.
“Nonprofit.”
What a joke.
“It’s only $17,000,” is just another reason we’re almost $40 trillion in debt now.
“ Yeah her 17K pension starting when she’s 62 is a real blast for her considering she is worth 25 million.”

Well she must have thought highly of it since she delayed her quit day until the day that her pension vested. Having “cushions” is nice.
There ought to be a law that ANY public servant leaving their job ahead of their term except in the case of health reasons verified by a medical doctor, forfeits the whole term money and must repay those funds back to the coffers they came out of.
This man should have been our next governor in Ohio. He has been a champion for seniors. He was all for alternate methods to carry out executions. The current governor (spit) delayed executions beyond his term. Some lame ass excuse they couldn’t get chemicals. It’s all about protecting the perp now and giving him the best deal possible, and cornholing the victims. Now we are going to get a vegan more than likely as governor. You think he is for the death penalty?
I like Yost.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is suing Ohio Health, an insurance company he says limits competition and drives up health care costs for patients.
And now he leaves? This was an important move!
Vivek would be better than Amy Acton “, Working family party . Concerned about his support for Data centers.
He established the elder abuse program if that tells you anything about the man. His team is full of DEI people who certainly don’t want to help anyone. I know that from personal experience. Why wouldn’t he want to leave before he is unemployed. I spent 2 and a half years unemployed, age discrimination is rampant.
The court system is so whacked in this country now. The perps get free lawyers and the victims get victimized twice, especially the elders and children victims.
Vivek is a snake. Mark my words, he will destroy this state. He says we have way too many colleges in Ohio! Yet he wants to increase the population of Ohio from 11 plus million to 15 million, nearly a third. The average rent in a city near Vance’s hometown is $1695 now. National rent prices are now up near 30%.
He will soon become the V.P. of Strategic Research and Innovation at the Alliance Defending Freedom, which brands itself as “the world’s largest legal organization committed to protecting religious freedom, free speech, the sanctity of life, parental rights, and God’s design for marriage in family.”
Sounds like he is going to still be protecting conservative principles.
Non-profit? What a CRIMINAL joke.
Pathetic.
#13 Yes, the Alliance Defending Freedom organization has been around for at least 30 years. It is a very good Christian conservative group that has defended and won many important pro-life, and freedom of speech and freedom of religion cases before the Supreme Court.
All “nonprofit” means is “we are exempt from taxes because we are special and you aren’t.”
