President Donald Trump said Tuesday he is pausing “Project Freedom,” the U.S. military’s effort to guide commercial ships out of the Strait of Hormuz, one day after the operation began.
Trump, in a Truth Social post, said the decision was based in part on “the fact that Great Progress has been made toward a Complete and Final Agreement” with Iran.
Stock futures rose following Trump’s announcement, which raised hopes for a peace agreement that would end the U.S.-Israeli war in Iran and reopen the economically vital strait.
It also represented a surprising about-face from the Trump administration, which just hours earlier had framed Project Freedom as a matter of life or death for thousands of civilian sailors.

Iran already said they will NEVER give up their uranium, its never gonna happen..these three weeks of “Cease fire” could have been used to destroy Iran’s regime completely. Israel could have offed the remaining Iranian Govt officials while the US pounded Kharg Island and other places..I really dont get why we stopped to begin with, seriously, the gas prices didnt go down so nothing was gained
this is all about keeping the different factions in the Iranian government in KAOS with each other
The Trump post makes it sound like Pakistan wanted operation Freedom stopped.
WHY would Pakistan want that?
And why is Trump listening to the country that funded the Taliban and gave safe harbor to Osama bin Laden?
He’s losing me. I want to support him but I can’t understand this at all. He basically just made Rubio look like a rube. Iran is playing him and so is Pakistan. Why should we even listen to the country that shielded Bin Laden for years?
I just don’t get this.
Pakistan is a nuclear power. They’d just as soon negotiate, while Trump plans his next military move.
Trust in our intelligence-gathering prowess for the next move. Could happen—with prejudice—tomorrow...
What crock of shit.

I honestly fail to see any connection between Project Freedom and any peace deal! If it’s subterfuge to get Iranians infighting I doubt it would work. Their access to Internet is highly censored or massaged.
