A grand jury indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for wire fraud, making false statements to a federally insured bank, and conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering Tuesday.
The SPLC’s “stated mission included the dismantling of white supremacy and confronting hate across the country. However, unbeknownst to donors, some of their donated money was being used to fund the leaders and organizers of racist groups, including the Ku Klux Klan, the Aryan Nation, and the National Alliance,” reads the indictment.
The indictment alleges that the SPLC paid informants (field sources) who “engaged in the active promotion of racist groups at the same time that the SPLC was denouncing the same groups on its website.” One such field source allegedly helped plan the 2017 Charlottesville rally.
Leftists have reacted to the indictment with various degrees of outrage.

“The SPLC is manufacturing racism to justify its existence,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, according to a DOJ press release. If the demand for racism outstrips the supply, your anti-racist organization risks becoming irrelevant.
The SPLC has admitted to, at some point, using informants.
“We frequently shared what we learned from informants with local and federal law enforcement, including the FBI. We did not, however, share our use of informants broadly with anyone to protect the identity and safety of the informants and their families. And while we no longer work with paid informants, we continue to take their safety seriously,” said interim President and CEO Bryan Fair in a video Tuesday.

Actually it’s forwards, but I digress
The rats used the SPLC to harass and punish millions of innocent Americans for years. The lot of them deserve a beatdown and a jail cell.
Yup! No doubt at all.
As soon as this story broke I said to my wife there is no excuse for this unless they posture it as working for the government.
Paying someone to rob a bank is not being an informant, paying them to rob the bank is conspiracy to rob. They are principals in the crime. Same here.
Ty he Klan never died, just changed robes to suits of politicians.
The Democrats defending funneling money to the KKK is no surprise considering that they founded the KKK.
The SPLC is about to face the music-——according to a DOJ press release.
They manufactured racism to justify their existence and to engage in massive fund-raising.
If the demand for “racism” outstripped the supply, the SPLC risked becoming irrelevant.
The SPLC colluded w/ paid informants to act as creepy Mossad-like stealth
agents to gather information on individuals. The informants were paid:
<><>to gloss over that they were actually donors to the SPLC hate groups’ leadership
<><>that they were manufacturing and fomenting hate and violence to increase SPLC donations.
<><>They also laundered payments to hide their activities from donors and banks.
To be fair, the SPLC used to do some good things. They were able to single-handedly bankrupt the KKK in the 1980s.
Since the 1980s, I think they lost their way.
Trading the Che for Armani. Nice touch.
SPLC’s collusion is a severe offense because it involves secret, dishonest cooperation to defraud third parties, or bypass laws, which undermines public trust. It acts together with conspiracy, enabling illegal activities, government fraud, and political disruption, often causing significant economic damage.
Collusion is considered harmful because it is a Subversion of Law: In legal terms, collusion is often treated as conspiracy—a criminal agreement to break the law—or a way to evade laws.
Collusion Reduces Public Trust: Collusion in politics leads to a diminished faith in public institutions.
It is important to note that “collusion” is often a colloquial term for legal concepts like conspiracy or aiding and abetting. In the US, it is not always a crime itself, but acting in collusion to commit a crime is a serious offense.
For a more formal, legal definition of this concept, read
the Brookings report on potential crimes associated with it.
There were no good intentions. That was just part of fund raising. In hind sight.
“Actually it’s forwards, but I digress”
Good point.
To be fair, the SPLC used to do some good things. They were able to single-handedly bankrupt the KKK in the 1980s.
Since the 1980s, I think they lost their way.
After that, there was no need for them. Racism had pretty much disappeared in our country. SPLC had no way of making money. So, what do they do? They create and fund a narrative of racism and “white supremacy” in order to get the donations rolling in again. After Charlottesville protests, their donations increased threefold.
How many FBI assets and agents were paid? They make up the bulk of these hate gangs.
SPLC’s purpose is to generate phony research to justify political repression by the Left. They know it. Their backers in the Democrat Party know it. The people who donate millions of dollars to them know it. And even if the latter group didn’t know, they would approve if they found out.
Southern Poverty Law Center deliberately omitted from hate crimes report more than 2,000 instances of teachers reporting anti-white hate incidents.
“Report buried Trump-related ‘hate crimes’ against white kids”

Senator Byrd is screaming from hell, “That’s a lie!”
We all need to look at this as part of a pattern of Democrats deliberately using false flag operations to smear and intimidate Republicans. Of the major operations that have occurred, it appears this was the first. It worked superbly well for the time being. Then it was followed by the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping hoax, and, topping it all off, the gigantic January 6 riot provocation and hoax.
