Rev. Franklin Graham does not believe President Donald Trump would “knowingly depict himself as Jesus Christ,” weighing in on the controversial AI image posted then deleted on President Donald Trump’s account.
“Well, it wasn’t depiction. It was me. I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with Red Cross; there’s a Red Cross worker there, which we support,” Trump said of the controversial post.
“Only the fake news could come up with that one. So I just heard about it, and I said, ‘How do they come up with that?’ It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better,” he added.
Graham, a Christian, said that if Trump did depict himself as Jesus, it is “certainly” inappropriate. However, he does not believe Trump did so knowingly.
“I had received some questions about President Donald J. Trump’s recent posts, and here are my thoughts,” he began.

Indeed, Trump reposted the image of himself next to Jesus on Wednesday, writing, “The Radical Left Lunatics might not like this, but I think it is quite nice!!! President DJT”
The caption of the meme reads, “I was never a very religious man … but doesn’t it seem, with all these satanic, demonic, child sacrificing [sic] monsters being exposed … that God might be playing his Trump card!”
Trump’s original controversial post coincides with his disagreements with Pope Leo XIV, describing him as “WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy.”
That makes one of us!
“It was a flag, soldiers, a nurse, fighter planes, eagles, the Statue of Liberty, and I think this is a lot to do about nothing. There is so much ill-intended speculation. I think his enemies are always foaming at the mouth at any possible opportunity to make him look bad,” Graham said.
Did Franky ever chime in on the multiple depictions of Obama as Christ?
The photo that Trump released of himself yesterday being comforted by Jesus was harmless..I see images all the time of people and dogs in the arms of Jesus when they pass, I remember an iconic image of Iryna and Charlie in the arms of Jesus it was a beautiful image
I never thought it was Jesus. I did think it was a spoof...nothing more....hardly blasphemous.

If people think this is a real issue for Trump (and it probably isn’t), the best thing they can do is not talk about it. Making statements just keeps it in the news cycle and gives liberal talking heads something to talk about.

There are many posts here on FR (including mine) telling Pope Leo to stay in his lane. Tend to your flock. Stay out of politics.
It’s not a big deal. But wouldn’t that same message also apply to Rev. Graham?
Franklin Graham isn’t a foreign head of state taking visits of Seditious conspirator Obama’s David Axelrod.
Good judgement is paramount.
Perception matters.
He needs better advisors.
Did Obama ever post those himself?
I don’t know what the problem here is. Don’t we all want to be more Christ like? Isn’t that the ultimate goal of every Christian? Isn’t that what the word “Christian” suggests? Is DJT Christ like? In many respect, no, of course not, but we all fall pitifully short. Does he try? Yes, I believe he does. I think he may be at least as “Christlike” as the Pope. I don’t think any communist has any true aspiration to be like Christ, because every communist is covetous, greedy and unworthy.
Trump has the MOST iconic photo EVER taken of a POTUS.
No photoshopping no AI additions.
He took a bullet, got up and raised his fist yelling fight, fight.
Never Trumpers can try all they want, but that is the photo that defines Trump.
And in my view it was only by the hand of God that that photo was made possible.
