John 20:1-10 (KJV)

1The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

2Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the LORD out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

3Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

4So they ran both together: and the other disciple did out run Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

5And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

6Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

7And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

8Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

9For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

10Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

In this rare footage from 1988, Charles Kuralt meets a Russian dentist who vowed for 50 years to contact the American soldiers who saved him and his comrades from starving in a German POW camp during World War II.

Comments below the video, however, check many of the others that are equally as poignant.

“My dad was in the army, he was in a pow camp. His camp was liberated by the Russians. They were all hungry. A Russian solder gave my dad his can of bread pudding. Till the day he passed, bread pudding was manna from heave to him.”

“I found this interesting comment regarding some more info: “The video left out one part. There was a German guard who discovered the plot early on, but turned a blind eye to it. When the plot was discovered he was immediately executed. The dentist wrote a letter to the guard’s family after the war and they sent back a portrait of the guard. The dentist gave the portrait to the journalist so he could report to Americans that “Corporal Alfred Jung was an exceptional member of the human race”.

The Resurrection of Jesus

John 20:1-9
