Trump asks for eye-popping number to fund Pentagon as he rips through $1 billion per DAY on Iran war

President Donald Trump is asking for an eye-popping $1.5 trillion to fund the Pentagon in the budget proposal the White House released Friday.

With the war with Iran ongoing, Trump has pushed that more money is needing to fund the US military and less on social programs.

'We're fighting wars, we can't take care of daycare,' he muttered at Wednesday's Easter lunch, which was closed to press, but video was accidentally posted online.

“child care”

One mom could work 3 days one week and another could work 4 days that week.

They could then alternate.

3,4
4,3
3,4
4,3
....

The non-working mom could watch the working mom’s kid(s).

If they worked 10 hours a day, they’d average 35 hours a week at say Amazon.

****

In retail or restaurant and if the daddies had M-F jobs,

It could be Saturday[10 hours] & Sunday[10 hours] for both plus two weekdays[8 hours+8 hours] for 36 hours/week each.

'We're fighting wars, we can't take care of daycare,'

One of the main arguments for MAGA was taking care of our own, while letting the 'others' solve their own problems. Foreign welfare seems to be the priority regardless whoever is in charge.

Just an absurd premise to even suggest that Iran has not been on ongoing problem and threat for the United States to have to deal with. You have to be in a completely alternate reality to even suggest such a thing.

If Donald Trump was running for President today he would probably get booed off the stage at his own campaign rally.

Ignored all along through 50 years, by dem prezydents and distracted repubs who didn’t want the headaches. All the while the monster Jimmah Cahtah created, getting rid of the US’s friend in the Pahlavis (who had been there from well before the Mossadegh arabic attempt which we stopped), and putting in bat crazy Islamofascist Shia. Saud has not been happy all these years to say the least, and they too are seeing who these clowns really are.

We are no longer a mercenary servant to the rest of Gulf States— they have to cull this enemy and regain their peace.

As others have pointed out.....

No president (Republican or Democrat) in the last 47 years has made the effort Trump has at correcting Carter’s mistake.

But time will tell if Trump is successful in eliminating the threat that is Muslim terrorism.

If he said it— which is highly doubtful. We will be long out of this cleanup, and the Gulf States handed the “boots” job. It is in their interests. Devil is in those details of course and how much revenue we should be getting from Iran and Venezuelan crude-— as reparations (that’ll really freak the leftist libs) we are owed.

‘ You have to be in a completely alternate reality to even suggest such a thing.’

The poster you responded to didn’t suggest it. Trump said that himself.

They were correct to point it out.

“he rips through $1 billion per DAY on Iran war”

this country has over 1/3 billion people.

So we can’t afford $3 a day per person for perhaps 2 months?

considering the long term benefits of this action that doesn’t sound all that expensive to me.

Should be a lot more. Our cheap 90 million dollar F15's can't bring down a 20,000 dollar Iranian drones.

I agree this comment is damaging.

But really? What business is it of the government to provide daycare?

Provide tax incentives for normal two parent families and the need for subsidized daycare will be eliminated.

That would be fine if we could keep our country safe while taking care of our own. It is arguable that this IS taking care of our own by finally ridding ourselves meddling theocratic Islamofascists who have attacked us directly and through proxies for 50 years. Finally— be done with it, and, we don’t need any of ME crap or product in doing this. Not anymore. The world changes.
