Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s reward came from heaven.
Israel used a powerful ballistic missile that flew to the edge of space before plummeting to Earth and blasting Iran’s unsuspecting supreme leader and dozens of his top henchmen last Saturday.
The Blue Sparrow, a missile that can fly for 1,240 miles and leaves the Earth’s atmosphere before crashing down, was used by Israel during Operation Epic Fury, killing Khamenei and his cohorts.
So intense was the impact that debris was found in western Iraq, according to Israeli sources.
The surprise attack came together last week after Israeli officials deliberately gave the impression that its military was standing down for the weekend, an Israel Defense Forces official told reporters Thursday.

A rod from God.
Grok on the Blue Sparrow:
The Blue Sparrow is an Israeli air-launched ballistic missile (ALBM) developed and produced by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. It belongs to the Sparrow family of missiles, which also includes the Black Sparrow (shorter-range) and Silver Sparrow (longer-range/extended variants). These missiles were originally designed as target missiles (surrogates) to simulate various ballistic threats—such as Scud-C/D, Shahab-class, or similar medium-range ballistic missiles—for testing Israel’s Arrow anti-ballistic missile defense system (in collaboration with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency and Israel’s Ministry of Defense).
Key known characteristics of the Blue Sparrow include:
• Length: Approximately 6.51 meters (21.4 ft).
• Launch weight: Approximately 1,900 kg (4,200 lb).
• Propulsion: Single-stage solid rocket propellant.
• Range: Up to about 2,000 km (around 1,240 miles) on a high ballistic trajectory (estimates vary slightly by source and launch conditions; some reports cite ~1,000–2,000 km).
• Guidance: Inertial Navigation System (INS) augmented by GPS (or dual INS/GPS in some descriptions); it features a separable re-entry vehicle (RV) with attitude control (e.g., 3-axis cold-gas system on the RV).
• Flight profile: Quasi-ballistic/high ballistic trajectory—it climbs steeply, exits the atmosphere (reaching apogee around 100 km in some tests), and descends at high speed (often described as hypersonic, Mach 5–9 in terminal phase), making it difficult to intercept due to speed, trajectory, and minimal warning time.
• Other features: Modular design allowing different warhead types (e.g., high-explosive, inert for tests); telemetry systems; flight termination; barrel-roll or maneuvering capabilities in some profiles.
Originally developed for defensive testing (with successful flights and “flawless” performance noted in Rafael documentation from the 2010s), the Blue Sparrow has been adapted for offensive roles as a precision standoff weapon. It can be launched from fighter aircraft like the Israeli Air Force F-15 (including F-15I variants), enabling launches from outside enemy air defense range.
Reports indicate operational use in combat:
• It was employed by Israel in strikes against Iran, including in April 2024 (with booster remnants identified by experts) and notably in early 2026 operations during the escalation/2026 Iran War, where it featured in initial standoff attacks.
• Recent coverage (as of March 2026) highlights its role in high-profile strikes, such as air-launched attacks on protected targets in Iran, where its exo-atmospheric flight and high terminal velocity enabled “near-impossible-to-defend” precision strikes (e.g., described in analyses of decapitation operations against Iranian leadership).
Some sources note derivatives or related systems (e.g., ROCKS missile as an operational variant with precision-guided elements), but details remain limited due to classification. Public information comes from defense publications, Rafael brochures, Wikipedia compilations, GlobalSecurity.org, and recent news analyses of debris and strike footage. Exact payload/warhead details for offensive versions (e.g., explosive type, CEP accuracy) are not fully disclosed but estimated in some reports at high precision (~3 m CEP in one older analysis).
No images are directly available here, but it is typically depicted as a sleek, finned missile with orange markings on boosters (from test configurations) carried under F-15 wings.
Accurate to three (count ‘em, 3!) meters.

WTF? That’s about 500 miles away from Tehran.
A high tech Acme anvil.

What kind of warhead did they use?
If true,
probably the booster after separation from the warhead.
I have no idea.
I’d guess High Explosive, but who knows?
“The surprise attack came together last week after Israeli officials deliberately gave the impression that its military was standing down for the weekend”
the IDF/Mossad has got to be the most clever and deviant military in the world ...
That part did not happen. From video released it was multiple missiles that took them out.
Once you’ve seen one debris, you’ve seen them all. How could they tell it was Khamenidebris?
“.... and deviant military in the world ...”
That’s deVIOUS, LOL
At Mach 9 metal is an explosive.
Power = mass (velocity)(velocity)
Rods from God are inert tungsten cylinders.
“What kind of warhead did they use?”
Coming down from the edge of space, it was bringing a whole mess
of pissed-off kinetic energy with it.
Maybe tell tale Missile debris?
damn spell checker!
