The Iranian-backed group Hezbollah has fired rockets from Lebanon into Israel for a second day while the Israeli military has sent troops into the south of the country, as Lebanon is dragged into the war between US, Israel and Iran. Israel has also carried out air strikes that have killed dozens of people, according to Lebanese health officials.
On Monday, after the regional conflict spread to Lebanon, thousands of residents fled villages in the south and, in Beirut, displaced families gathered in the city's Martyrs' Square and on the promenade along the Mediterranean.

No, Lebanon chose to get involved. You don’t sit on the sidelines when you fire missiles into a country. And trying to establish the putting upon of a country that does this is disingenuous manure that displays the dishonesty of the BBC and puts it in a parallel with the American media in it’s efforts to misreport and place blame on the US and Israel for protecting themselves. Any media source in the US that does this is not protected by the first amendment as it is an obvious and intentional effort to lie. The people they libel in the federal government should file on them for trying to misrepresent them i.e., slander, and be made to pay reparations in some manner.

That verse refers to Arabs. The Iranians are (largely) Persian.
The Gulf Arabs are Sunni. Iranian Mullahs are Shia.

You’ve just discovered the major difference between the Bible and the Koran. The Bible is a documentary of interaction displaying efforts to settle. The Koran only makes the effort to blame.
This war is not about who is right or wrong, it’s about who is to blame. Muslims don’t use intelligence or common sense. They use the beliefs of Mohammed and how they are put upon over time. And how they can get Trump and Israel to take the hit for Iran’s acts of desperation after threatening Israel. This is a muslim war with Israel for their attacks on Iran with the help of Trump. They are placing blame. And the other muslim countries buy into this stupidity. After all, you can’t blame another muslim for his acting like the wishes of Mohammed. Remember, these are people that will happily die for their God to get their virgins.

I know. But that has nothing to do with the discussion, which was about using the Genesis verse to explain Iran’s strange behavior of lashing out against everyone in range.
The verse posted is about descendants of Ishmael, aka Arabs.
The Iranians are Persian and not Arab, so the verse does not apply.
This is very hard to understand.
Diplomats and Lebanon told Hezbollah after October 7, 2023 do not get involved in a war with Israel.
So what they did they do?
The unilaterally launched missiles into Israel.
Fast forward to ceasefire in Lebanon:
Diplomats told the Lebanese government to limit or outlaw Hezbollah and confiscate their weapons, destroy their forward bases in southern Lebanon near Israel.
So, what did they do? Very little.
Fast forward to now. Diplomats told Hezbollah, stay out of the fight between the USA/Israel against Iran.
So, what did they do?
They began launching missiles into Israel again. Lebanon is furious (really?). Now Israel is hitting Hezbollah targets in Lebanon...again.
DO these scum ever learn?
