France's president has joined Spain in condemning US and Israeli strikes on Iran, branding them illegal.

In a televised address on Tuesday evening, Emmanuel Macron declared the attacks were 'outside the bounds of international law'.

He is the second Western leader to question the legality of the conflict after Spain's Pedro Sanchez warned that strikes from the US and Israel risked bringing about a 'more uncertain and hostile international order'.

I don’t suppose that USA-FRANCIS guy will show up on this thread even though these are his people.

Days earlier, Spain preemptively declared their airbases could not be used to attack Iran.

Spain will not contribute 5% of GDP to NATO
They currently cant must 2%

President Trump Spain does not have anything the US needs.
Anyways, if needed, the US will use Spain’s airbases.
As if Spain would do anything anyways.

Therefore, Spain’s license to export into the USA is revoked!

They aren’t illegal! Undocumented is the preferred term. Please make a note of it.

Man, western Europe is really lost. It’s made of Muslim men and White liberal women, and once those two start clashing, I know who’s going to lose: ladies, wise up!

Yeah, what’s new? After all, Khomeini was exiled to France and arranged the revolution from there. No way French government didn’t know what’s going on.

‘outside the bounds of international law’.

He should realize that, right now, “international law” is whatever DJT and the US military says it is.

France is responsible for the Islamic Republic, they harbored Khomeini and allowed him to plot the Revolution from there.

Steven Tyler: "Therefore, Spain’s license to export into the USA is revoked!"

Sadly, Spain is one of the world's few countries with which the US enjoys a modest trade surplus -- about $5 billion/year in goods.

However, Americans love Spain and some 4 million per year visit with ~70,000 living there at least semi-permanently.
Combined, Americans spend around $4 billion in Spain, reducing the US overall balance of trade surplus from $5 billion to just $1 billion per year.

So, a lot of Americans will be unhappy if the US falls out of love with Spain.

So much for Western Europe!

The UK, France, and Spain, all support the Radical Muslim leadership in Iran.

Trump reponds with attack rather than cowering. Works for him, works for America especially since if possible the attack is logistical not millitarily. Spain will have to decide how to respond to economic pressure. Otherwise the entire workd will think America is going to back down if threatened. As the biggest dog threat is usually enough.

Trump is perfectly right in his action in Iran, full stop.

Spain and France are miss conceiving their own national interests in not supporting Trump's action in Iran.

But their lack of support is anything but surprising, I'm surprised that more nations of Europe have not accused Trump of war crimes. Not because Trump is conceivably guilty of any war crime, he is not, but because he has so gratuitously attacked our European allies with his bellicosity.

Europe is unanimously convinced that Trump is miss conceiving United States' national interests and failing to support Ukraine, by threatening to invade Greenland and, generally, by personally insulting both nation states and the leaders of the nations of Europe. They fear his relationship with Putin and Russia. They believe he is selling Ukraine out. They regard him as as much a threat as an ally.

Yesterday, it was announced that a group of European nations, France not surprisingly among them, are seeking to create a new nuclear umbrella for European security. This in the wake of Trump's repeated statements that he might not defend Europe in the event of attack. In a stroke, we just vitiated nuclear deterrence in Europe. What else is Europe to do except to look for its own nuclear umbrella and deterrence?

The misguided policies of this administration just ignited a race toward nuclear proliferation. Well done!

How to lose allies and influence. We had enjoyed dominance in setting security policy for Europe when Putin's aggression against Ukraine, coincidentally occurring when Trump was demanding more contributions from Europe for its own defense, has caused Europe greatly to increase their preparedness. Abandoned by Trump, Europe is seeing to its own defenses and it will inevitably pursue its own interests, without concern for our interests.

A self-sufficient Europe, armed with nuclear weapons at a strategic level that exceeds that now possessed by the Brits and French, will begin to negotiate deals for themselves that cut against the interests of the United States. Instead of Europe as a bulwark against the Russia/China continental massiv, we have foolishly created a third-party that can equally triangulate against our interests with China. In recent days we see evidence that they are already doing precisely that.

We thought we were bitch slapping a weak Europe, but we have created a powerful potential adversary of 500 million people, together as wealthy as we are, in no mood to sacrifice their perceived national interests to further America's Cold War with China.

Meanwhile, we will have reply after reply on threads like this telling us that Europe is effete, Muslim, and ungrateful. Perhaps those posters on these threads should reflect on Minneapolis, New York City, Los Angeles and recall that Europe used to be our friends.
