A man in his 30s from Jerusalem attempted this morning (Sunday) to set a 12-year-old boy on fire during a bus ride on Route 375, near Beitar Illit.
According to police, the background to the incident is a prior dispute between the suspect and the child’s father. The boy, who was on his way to an educational institution in Beitar Illit, was lightly injured in his hands.
At a certain point, the bus driver noticed what was happening, stopped the bus, and allowed passengers to flee. The suspect tried to use the stop to escape but was apprehended by an officer from the Yehuda Border Police operational unit (“Arrow Yehuda") and IDF soldiers who were in the area.
...the suspect boarded the bus carrying a bottle containing a flammable substance, after preparing in advance for the act. Police noted that “only by sheer luck did he not succeed in carrying out his plan to completion."
The suspect was arrested and transferred for questioning at the Etzion police station in the Judea district. Police said they will request an extension of his detention, and at this stage it appears the motive is criminal, stemming from a dispute between him and the victim’s father.

Sounds like the perp might have been Jewish. I think there would be at least some clues in the story if he was Muzzi.

And I remember a story from back in the ‘90s of a man who set his son on fire in a hotel room, over a custody/child support dispute with his ex wife. Too early to search. But it’s happening a lot more lately.
The father’s Jewish. No telling what the identity of the physical perp is, just that he’s the sort who would do something like this. But Jewish is not ruled out. Unfortunately.
This took place in Judea (West Bank), so the victim was probably Jewish and the perp a Pallie.
Could be. Had some shady relationship with the victim’s father, and this was retaliation. Entirely likely.
I’m of the opposite opinion. I’m of the opinion that the guy is a Muzzball since they did not release a pic, a name, or the name of where the terrorist resides.
If the perp was Jewish they’d be advertising it immediately. If this individual was religious the government and press would dox the living daylights out of him.
This story is a Rorshach Test.

A similar thing happened to Ilhan Omar. Sprayed with an unknown liquid. She didn’t bat an eye. Didn’t seek medical attention. Didn’t care at all. She comes from a religion where setting people on fire or spraying them with acid is just sort of normal behavior. But she was unconcerned. Almost like she knew it was Apple Cider Vinegar from the start.
It the preferred method of killing by SOBs who believe killing someone is just not enough.
Anyone who harms, or attempts to harm a child should be given some “private time” with the parents of the child. If the parents are unavailable, or unfit, other close relatives or upstanding local citizens will do.
That’s how it’s done in primitive societies, such as...Staten Island.
