Nearly 1 million kids in the New York City school system could be forced in front of the screens for remote learning Monday, Mayor Mamdani said Friday — even though Hizzoner could reinstate traditional snow days his predecessors nixed.
Public school students can at best hope for remote classes for early next week as the city braces for a potentially devastating storm that the mayor has already said could dump more than a foot of snow across the Big Apple.
“I know to the disappointment of any student that’s watching this right now, Monday is either going to be a remote learning day or it’s going to be an in-person school day,” Mamdani said on NY1 on Friday.

In my day we tuned into th local radio station and rejoiced on hearing our school was closed. It was the best. My mother was not as excited about it. But she was a sport
It was a sleigh riding day.
In high school the boys would get the VW bugs running, do don’t and we’d make our way over to the golf course through the break in the chain link fence. We figured out snowboarding. Met the kids from the other schools -public v catholic

Not a big favorite w the nuns. Anyone got caught loading it with a rock- forget it. The principal- a fierce nun- and then Dad. Who instructed us early on. No one did that.

Have you ever wondered how they were going to force the kids into the total control of the digital empire to be run by evil.
Kids could greatly increase their chances of getting a snow day if they all flush ice cubes down the toilet and the same time ... and ... wear their pajamas inside out and backwards ... and ... sleep with their heads at the foot of the bed. There are others, but I can’t remember now. Effing commie.
