Top business leaders issue an expletive-laced message on the green backlash

Top business leaders this week delivered an expletive-laden plea in defense of climate action, describing the backlash to Europe’s green transition as an “aberration.”

In an interview with CNBC at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Allianz CEO Oliver Bäte said he disagreed with the suggestion that it may just be a matter of time before net zero is dismissed in Europe, saying short-term thinking on this issue is “bulls---.”

Asked about political leaders backtracking on their much-vaunted European Green New Deal and Norway’s oil fund reportedly defending a push from companies to water down their climate goals, Bäte said anyone who has children “will have to worry” about the planet’s future.

“It’s an aberration that short-term people are saying that,” Bäte told CNBC’s “Squawk Box Europe” on Tuesday. “I think it’s about doing it intelligently. And by the way, the role model here is China, they are going to be the leader both in terms of renewable and cost of energy.”

Andrew Forrest, founder and executive chairman of Australian mining giant Fortescue: “The trend of renewable energy is eating fossil fuels for lunch. So, I would just simply say to all my friends in America, back every horse. Your president is more businessman than he is anti-climate change.”

So, AI is gonna power datacenters w/ wind turbines instead of fossil fuels? Doubt that.

Yeah. The German economy is smoking. The last time it was smoking this much was 1945.

There is nothing wrong with coal fired plants like we have in the USA and Europe. They are pretty damn clean due to scrubbers installed at great expense. They do work.

China’s coal fired plants are horrible and incredibly dirty. They do not have all the expensive scrubbers to make their plants clean burning. They do not give a damn what it does to the health of their people. China views their people as a commodity to be exploited and they do. They also have slave labor.

Those who cannot control their tongue add to the pollution of the planet.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. (Luke 6:45) Profanity and vulgarity - which wanton use increasingly abounds today - is akin to passing gas in close company: while it can gain attention, it provides about the same positive enhancement.
Why must one invoke the authority of God for one's wanton speech, or allude to the bathroom or bedroom every few minutes? I have enough to deal with my own heart.

“...expletive-laced message...”
-
Well, if they think saying “bulls- - -.” is expletive-laced,
they have never been around many rednecks.

Walking into a renewable energy future is cheaper.

If that were true, renewable sources would already be developed. Until that's a proven fact, prudent businessmen will not adopt a "hoped-for" source of energy. They can't afford to do that.

CO2 is plant food and solar panels and windmills are cost heavy as well as pollution heavy.

And the climate is currently cooler that most of the last 10,000 years.

The CEO of Allianz, one of the world’s biggest insurers, said it was integral for business and political leaders to stay the course on necessary energy transition targets.

Gotta wonder why the Euro-marxists and their cronies are pushing "de-carbonization" so much. They are the source of it.

Its their last gasp for global relevance.

Thanks! It’s hard to argue with isn’t it?

No one really knows why the glacial maximum ended or why it ever began in the first place. They know there were other inter-glacials like the last 12k years but not why they occur or end.

We know the leftist climate hoaxers are doing it to grift trillions of dollars but they’re doing more than that. They are actively trying to cool the planet. Since no one knows what drives major climate shifts they could stumble into bringing on the next glacial maximum. A true disaster for all mankind.

From the article: Top business leaders issue an expletive-laced message on the green backlash...

They can't help but expose themselves.

If it's so legitimate, let these "leaders" pay for it.

RE: The peasants are revolting.

I find the woke lowlifes like Newsom, Bass, Schiff, Walz, Frey and Jasmine Crockett pretty revolting, too.

Guess it’s worldwide.

"the role model here is China, they are going to be the leader both in terms of renewable and cost of energy"

The CCP's centrally planned dystopian economy that relies on technology stolen from the West is a role model? It's remarkable how fast a few million dollars in the checking account makes the human brain go soft.

“Top Business Leaders” want the grift and graft to continue and increase.
