On his first day in office, Jay Jones, Virginia’s 49th attorney general, announced a broad slate of legal actions and policy reviews that he said are aimed at protecting Virginians, lowering costs and defending constitutional and civil rights.

In a statement released from Richmond, Jones said his office will begin joining or advancing multiple lawsuits involving the federal government, while also launching a 30-day review of all existing litigation involving the Commonwealth. The review will assess which cases Virginia should continue, withdraw from or newly enter.

Yep. Many of us *didn’t* vote for this nonsense, but — unfortunately — we’re stuck with it anyway.

If it gets too bad, or it looks like Virginia will never course correct, the wife and I will just pick up and move. We’re thankful we have the ability to do that, if necessary.

Is this the same guy who posted his fantasies about killing the children of his political rival? Either killing them or seeing those children dead. Something cruel, sick and very Democrat/ Socialist.

He is only protecting Washington DC. If you’re not in DC, you’re not a Virginian. That’s the way it was designed. They don’t care for the other side of the state. Heck, they’d use rules to shut down Martinsville Speedway and Virginia International Raceway on the North Carolina border, and end the Virginia Triple Crown short tracks of Langley, South Boston, and Martinsville to advance Washington elites. They’ve already removed Civil War history and Lee-Jackson Day (which was today).

He shows representation of one city is what the Left wants, big states are one city. It’s what the Founding Fathers understood was a danger. He’d purge ALL of them.

You can bet this will be “tenant protection” ™ edicts that erode private property rights.

The review will assess which cases Virginia should continue, withdraw from or newly enter.

Should continue: any against Republicans, particularly MAGA Republicans
Should withdraw from: any against Democrats, socialists, Marxists, ANTIFA, Somalis, and illegals
Should newly enter: see "should continue"

Elections have consequences. Also, the last Virginia elections show the bankruptcy of Establishment Republicans. Younkin was touted time after time by the National Review types as the model for a “conservative” governor. He had some good policies but without building a political movement and organization that perpetuates them, it amounts to nothing. Jones and Spanberger take over and enact “sweeping” radical reforms that turn Virginia into Minnesota on the Potomac. And you can be damn sure that they will build all kinds of roadblocks into removing them if/when a Republican takes over again. No more caretaker Republican governors.

Says everything about the people who voted for him. They want us dead, in jail or ostracized. This will not end well for the Republic as we know it.

You’re preaching to the choir, brother. Two things coming I fear the most: gun legislation and redistricting.

Currently, my county is solid Trump country — 73.9 for Trump in the last general, and 73.3 for Earl-Sears. IIRC, their proposed redistricting map would turn us blue, and that alone may be enough to force us to move.
