Minnesota’s burgeoning scandals could have national implications

Minnesota’s burgeoning fraud revelations threaten to put the state in play politically. Tim Walz’s sudden, surprise exit indicates this could be true in 2026 and 2028. Democrats’ long-time dominance there all the more precarious for the fact that, below the surface, Minnesota was already on the precipice.

Minnesota has long appeared to be a Democratic stronghold. No Republican presidential candidate has won there since Richard Nixon in 1972. The state has produced historic Democratic stalwarts like Vice Presidents Hubert Humphrey (D) and Walter Mondale (D).

It also produced the new generation of further-left liberals like former Sen. Paul Wellstone (D). Rep. Ilhan Omar (D), leader in today’s far-left Squad, hails from there. And Walz, the state’s current governor, was the Democrats’ 2024 vice presidential nominee.

Democrats have acted as though the state was as far left as any in America. Minnesota allows abortion through all nine months of pregnancy and labels itself a “trans refuge” state. It is not a right-to-work state, and it has one of the nation’s highest tax rates. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D) was at the epicenter of the nation’s civil unrest in the wake of George Floyd’s 2020 death. Lt. Gov. Karen Flanagan recently wore a hijab in a show of support with Minneapolis’s large Somali community.

Yet beneath the surface, Minnesota Democrats’ dominance has been showing cracks. President Trump lost the state in 2024 by less than 5 percentage points. Despite the pandemic, civil unrest, recession and relaxed voter rules, Trump lost Minnesota by 7...

Newswoman today just said the riots and guard troops arriving in Minneapolis have taken all the media attention off the Somali fraud scandal and thus helped the people involved.

True, without the riots there would be daily top news stories about the fraud schemes and the involvement of the politicians.

Now it’s down with “which foods are best in the new guidelines?”

The Democrat party is a criminal organization masquerading as a political party.

“””Newswoman today just said the riots and guard troops arriving in Minneapolis have taken all the media attention off the Somali fraud scandal and thus helped the people involved.””””

Maybe it took the focus off the fraud in the media but it sure won’t change all the investigating going on.

What “investigating”? By Pam Bondi? Get her the hell out of there before she sinks PDJT’s administration all by herself. She’s a calamity waiting to happen. Get Ken Paxton into the AG spot if you want an investigation with teeth. Blondie’s at home reading the Epstein files, polishing her nails, and trying to decide what she’s gonna wear tomorrow.

Two things:

To flip Minnesota, Republicans MUST flip the iron range around Duluth. Those are blue collar workers. Almost everywhere else in the country those kinds of people have gone from Democrat to Republican. If they flip, it really will be Minneapolis/St. Paul vs the rest of the state which is a sea of red. That would be extremely close.

Why do they insist on calling North Carolina a swing state? It has 2 Republican Senators. Republicans dominate the house delegation and Republicans have a supermajority in the state legislature and now a majority of registered voters. The state went for Trump 3 times. Its a red state no matter how hard Democrats wish it weren't.

"Could"? Minnesota will be where the lessons were learned and the precedent to go after other states (mostly all blue).

1) realize this is a DEMOKKKRAT MOUTHPIECE organ, therefore they are concerned. VERY concerned.
2) I thought that DemoKKKrats were all energized and that they were going to sweep in November.

This tells you that they know these phony polls do not reflect reality, and that the Skinny Minny fraud threatens total extinction of the evil slave-loving DemoKKKrat Party.
