Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has declared that the terror group will not give up its weapons, warning that such a move would mean "the end of Lebanon."
According to Qassem, Hezbollah is prepared to pay additional prices in order to preserve its military capabilities.
"The weapons in our hands are meant to defend ourselves, our resistance, our people, and our homeland," he said. Qassem also claimed that relinquishing the weapons would weaken Lebanon and advance Israel’s strategic objectives.
Warning the Lebanese government against implementing plans to disarm militias, Qassem claimed such plans are being promoted under pressure from the United States and Israel.
He also stressed that Hezbollah "will not accept" attempts to force it to disarm, adding that if "the resistance and its environment do not surrender," Lebanon could deteriorate into a situation in which “not one stone will be left upon another, and no one will be safe." Hezbollah itself, he claimed, is "prepared for the worst-case scenario."
Qassem also said that Hezbollah remains committed to the "liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque" and the liberation of "Palestinian" land...

Hezbollah destroyed Lebanon 3 decades ago. It was a great multicultural banking country. Hezbollah took control and wiped out all the non-Muslim people. Lots of people like Danny Thomas came from Lebanon. It was a great place with wonderful beaches. It had great tourism and finance. Then in the 1980s and 1990s Hezbollah turned it into a war zone and killed everyone they could.
1950 - Beirut is the Paris of the Middle East
2026 - Paris is the Beirut of Europe
Wipe these savages out utterly.
End their lines forever.

Lebanon could deteriorate...
OH NO. Without the violent islamic trash Lebanon might return to the “Paris of the Mediterranean.”
Israel will then invade again in depth.
And, I recommend that they establish a civilian free IDF military only zone about 20 miles into Lebanon until such time as hezbollah is completely destroyed, man for man and gun for gun.
Israel cannot live with an existentially threatening terrorist army at their border.
Kick them back to NW Syria as necessary.

It might be the end of Lebanon as an Islamic stronghold, but it will also pave the way for a rebirth of what was once one of the most beautiful Mediterranean countries.
I haven’t seen her in years, but when I was in college I was friends with a beautiful and smart Lebanese Christian woman. She told me how amazing Lebanon had been. She now does subspecialty pediatrics in Lebanon. I hope she is doing well.

Beirut, Lebanon, was widely known as the “Paris of the Middle East,” particularly from the 1950s to the mid-1970s, for its vibrant culture, French-influenced architecture, thriving nightlife, fashion, banking, and cosmopolitan atmosphere, a golden era that ended with the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975 and the takeover by Hezbollah a proxy of Iran.

Is that a bad thing?
The Lebanon he helped create and cannot envision as anything but Jihad Central, would be a good thing to be rid of. The Lebanon that preceded the coming of the PLO in 1975, he fears, would reemerge, and to him that’s a bad thing.
