If you’ve never watched this, it takes less than two minutes, and it’s a nice piece of framework:
In her much-discussed essay a few months ago, Helen Andrews argued that American institutions have been feminized. Talking about tendencies and averages — “feminine patterns of behavior” — rather than all men and all women, Andrews argued that a transition from masculine control to feminine control produces radical changes in our shared culture:
Everything you think of as wokeness involves prioritizing the feminine over the masculine: empathy over rationality, safety over risk, cohesion over competition….
Female group dynamics favor consensus and cooperation. Men order each other around, but women can only suggest and persuade. Any criticism or negative sentiment, if it absolutely must be expressed, needs to be buried in layers of compliments. The outcome of a discussion is less important than the fact that a discussion was held and everyone participated in it. The most important sex difference in group dynamics is attitude to conflict. In short, men wage conflict openly while women covertly undermine or ostracize their enemies.
That last part is quite interesting, today, as we look at video from the Renee Good shooting that shows the immediate aftermath and the loud reaction of Good’s Justin Bieber-lookalike signal-wife who she wasn’t married to:
“Why did you have real bullets?”
I should probably render that sentence in 90-point type, with bright flashing letters and boldface and italics and the sound of trumpets blasting as you read it.

Look at the polling data by age group. It backs up what the election results for 2024 showed. Gen X singlehandedly pushed Trump over the top. That still holds. My Boomer siblings (I’m the youngest in the family) are either Lefties or one is at best a more establishment Republican type. I’m a 3 time Trump voter and both of my Gen X best friends lean as much to the Right as I do.
We grew up under Reagan. We explicitly rejected a lot of the 60s leftist counter culture.

Back the the 70’s when feminazis were fond of saying they were only “raising men’s consciousness” I was told by one of them — a teacher — that we could only truly communicate with other people through direct eye contact. I then said direclty and out loud “then how can blind people communicate?” She was, you see, blinded herself by her feminst rhetoric, superior in every way to man’s mere “rationality.” I got a B in the course and changed career goals. NFW was I going to go into a field with nutjobs like that.
Turns out, medicine and politics, are full of them. And they’re full of it.

I think the author is looking for a rational explanation for these protestors actions which is way over thinking it.
They’re f’n nuts plain and simple.
If it was clear what controlled society was trying to do to our sons then, it should be clear now. Normalization of everything vile and disgusting that can be done to our children has become how we raise our sons. Pansy-boys are more easily manipulated than kids with “toxic masculinity” levels.

Interesting observations. A few months ago, just for entertainment, I drove past a No Kings rally. I was surprised to see a bunch of old hippies with tie dyed shirts, walkers, and handicap plates on cars.

Life for folks in this country has become too easy and with too much spare time. Time was you needed to get up before dawn and work your rear off all day to earn a living and you were too exhausted to do anything in the evening. Now people just collect government checks and spend their days complaining.

I disagree with this one. The reaction to immigration is definitely choosing risk over safety. Allowing hoards of military aged male strangers to invade the country, with no vetting, no tracking, no guardrails at all? This is high-risk behavior.

Again, I'd take issue with this idea. Male group dynamics don't favor cooperation?? Has this author never seen a platoon of men work together? Never seen a football team? I suppose they'd argue that there is a hierarchy, but amongst women there are hierarchies too, they are just less predicated on structured paths with observable milestones, and more on status and force of personality.
My biggest fear of AI is that it will work. Machines will grow food and make stuff, and it will all be driven to your house by driverless trucks. The government will mail you a check every month but you won't do anything because your labor can no longer contribute to the national economy. Life will be easy and everyone will have a lot of spare time. What they do? Probably burn down cities out of boredom.
