ICE to deport Manchester man, leaving ailing wife, kids
New Hampshire Union Leader ^ | January 15, 2026 | Zachary Marano

Posted on 01/16/2026 12:06:54 PM PST by Jim Noble

On Friday, a Manchester resident may leave the Granite State for the last time. Oscar Gutierrez, 40, is detained at Strafford County jail for staying in the country illegally. He’s due to be flown to Louisiana, and from there, back to his original country of Honduras.

This may effectively be a death sentence. As a teen, Gutierrez fled Honduras 22 years ago after refusing to join MS-13, a criminal gang. Threats followed him to the U.S. If he ever returns, he will be murdered, according to his family.

Gutierrez’s wife, Mirna, said she has presented evidence of the threats to immigration officials. She’s provided proof of her medical issues, which make her rely on him for care and support....

I'm posting this to discuss how ineffective the President and his team has been at defending our laws.

They are great at ENFORCEMENT. And they are great at propaganda directed TO the MAGA base.

But stories like this one are effective with normies and may be turning the tide, BECAUSE no one is speaking out about how right, just, and legitimate our existing immigration laws are. IF the leaders of the country aren't bold about saying the "Manchester man" has to go BECAUSE the laws are right and just, if they are ashamed of the laws they send ICE to enforce, then the laws should be changed.

“BECAUSE no one is speaking out about how right, just, and legitimate our existing immigration laws are.”

I think they speak loudly and frequently, but the media doesn’t cover them.

ICE does enforce. They do not interpret the law. Which is essentially black and white. That is a job for the courts.

I wonder what other crimes he has committed?
I’m sure there is more to the story.

If I rob a bank and buy a house for my family with the proceeds, do they get to keep the house when I am arrested and thrown into prison for bank robbery?

is it the fault of ice that the manchester man IGNORED the law and put his family life in danger by doing so? No? Then zip it Zachary Marano! STOP blaming others for the CRIMES OF CRIMINALS!

A crime committer is a crime committer. The wages of crime have to be paid. He should be grateful he is going to Honduras and not to prison.

I am sick and tired of the boo-hoo stories about illegals who lived here and are now being deported. YOU are responsible for your actions whether it's now or 50 years ago. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

well, if the wife is ailing, and the child has no shoes- then yeah- by liberal logic- the house stays in the possession of hte poor poor wife and kid

There’s a BS story for every deportation.

I see no problem here.

The ailing wife and the kids can go with him if they love him more than money
