A Cuban citizen faces a felony charge after federal officials say he rammed his vehicle into two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicles in San Antonio on Tuesday, injuring an ICE officer.

Robyn Argote Brooks was being detained by ICE officers when he "weaponized his vehicle against federal law enforcement officials and rammed two ICE vehicles with his car," according to a Thursday news release from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Argote Brooks was arrested on a charge of destruction of government property, according to a federal criminal complaint. The complaint alleges he caused nearly $5,000 in damage to one of the ICE vehicles. If convicted on the charge, Argote Brooks could up up to 10 years in prison a $250,000 fine

Federal officials did not release the name of the ICE agent who sustained injuries as a result of the collision, or provide details on the severity of the injuries.
Images released by the Department of Homeland Security of the ICE vehicles involved in the crash show a grey Ford Taurus a crack on the front bumper and a dent on the driver's side.
The incident occurred in the midst of mounting nationwide public scrutiny of the agency, magnified by the death of Renee Good, a Minnesota resident who was shot and killed by an ICE agent during a confrontation in Minneapolis on Jan. 7. Federal officials say the shooting was justified because Good was driving her car at the agent who shot her. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said the ICE agent was struck by Good's vehicle and suffered internal bleeding.
The San Antonio incident took place in a Walmart parking lot at 12639 Blanco Road on San Antonio's North Side.
According to a federal complaint, ICE officers stopped Argote Brooks after checking his license plate number and finding the registration results didn’t show a Social Security number, a driver's license or date of birth.
Agents learned that Argote Brooks no longer had legal permission to be in the United States, according to the complaint. He had been admitted at the Laredo port of entry on Oct. 11, 2024. Customs and Border Patrol paroled him into the U.S. to await an immigration hearing. Federal officials terminated that parole on April 18, according to the federal complaint.
When ICE officers attempted to take him into custody Tuesday, Argote Brooks "rolled up his window and refused to come out." He then turned on the ignition and drove his car in reverse, which caused ICE officers to "jump out of the way," and he crashed into two the vehicles, according to the complaint.
Video footage released by federal officials shows two unmarked ICE vehicles block in a beige Honda Accord — one in the front, and one in the rear. Several ICE officials surrounded the Honda on foot. The Honda then struck the two unmarked ICE vehicles.
Argote Brooks is scheduled to appear Tuesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Elizabeth Chestney in San Antonio.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called attention to the incident in a Wednesday morning post on social media site X, in which he referenced a Fox News article featuring a video of the incident.
"A criminal illegal alien rammed ICE vehicles in San Antonio, sending an agent to the hospital," Abbott wrote. "Organized groups are obstructing immigration enforcement across the country, putting officers and law abiding civilians at risk. These criminals must be arrested."
San Antonio City Councilwoman Misty Spears condemned "violence against law enforcement" in a Thursday news release, referencing the incident that occurred in her District 9.
"Violence against law enforcement officers, regardless of circumstances, ideology, or immigration status, is unacceptable and must be unequivocally condemned.," she said. "Using a vehicle as a weapon against law enforcement or any individual is an especially dangerous and reckless act."
On Jan. 22, the San Antonio City Council will hold a special session to discuss the heightened presence of federal immigration authorities in the city, as well as the cooperation of local law enforcement.

Chances are this is the first you've heard of yet another idiot with a death wish trying to kill ICE agents with a deadly weapon (car). This is the third attempt in less than a week.
Here is a thread from yesterday...

This is absolutely insane. The vehicle rammings are CONTINUING.
These men need all the protection they can get.
At the X link you see TWO attempted murders. Yet the agents did not take the necessary appropriate action against the illegal.
WHY!?!

It’s time to make laws outlining what ‘protesters’ can and can’t do. I’m sick of these paid AstroTurf losers taking over streets.
Streets are for cars.
Keep them on the sidewalks and arrest any ‘protesters’ making loud noise after 10 pm. Then play opera music during their daytime AstroTurf BS antics...

These illegal aliens continue to be criminals 75% of the time.
My first encounter with one was when I was 10 years old.
He knocked me off my new bike and stole it and he was a lot older than I was.
After work 2 weeks ago, a car with a hispanic guy in who was in a huge hurry tried to pass me on the freeway exit ramp and side swiped my jeep! I took a couple pics (no plates on the car) as he took off after he passed two more cars. Hit and run!
The cops flat out told me there was nothing they could do.
My point is, they are here illegally and 75% continue to do illegal shit.
It’s been the same shit since I was 10.
I thank God that we now have a president that wants to get these illegal criminals OUT.

These illegals should all get “Wanted: Dead or Alive” posters for them.
Then citizens could clean up the problem and rake in some money for each corpse.
