Several Prosecutors Resign From DOJ Civil Rights Division in Protest After Unit Refuses to Probe ICE Agent Who Killed Renee Good in Self-Defense

At least four prosecutors have resigned from the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division in protest after the unit refused to investigate the ICE agent who killed protestor Renee Nicole Good in self-defense.

New cellphone footage from the ICE agent involved in the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good was released last Friday.

Alpha News and Fox News obtained cellphone footage from the ICE agent who discharged his weapon and fatally shot Good as she tried to run him over.

The POV footage shows Good’s wife talking trash to the ICE agent as he approaches her wife’s SUV.

“You wanna come at us?” Good’s wife said, taunting the ICE agent. “I say go get yourself some lunch, big boy.”

“Get out of the f*cking car!” an ICE agent said as he tried to open Good’s door.

Good accelerates her vehicle as her wife shouted, “Drive, baby! Drive!”

The ICE agent discharged his weapon and fatally shot Good as she tried to run him over.

A bullet hole in Good’s windshield proves the ICE agent was in front of her vehicle when he shot her.

The Justice Department has the ICE agent’s back and now Deep State prosecutors are resigning in protest.

MS NOW reported:

At least four leaders of a Justice Department unit that investigates police killings have resigned in protest over the administration’s handling of the fatal shooting of a motorist in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, according to three people briefed on the departures.

Top leaders of the criminal section of the Civil Rights Division have left their jobs to register their frustration with the department after the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon decided not to investigate the ICE officer’s fatal shooting of Renee Good last week. The criminal section of thde division would normally investigate any fatal shooting by a law enforcement officer and specializes in probing potential or alleged abuse or improper use of force by law enforcement.

The departures – including that of the chief of the section, as well as the principal deputy chief, deputy chief and acting deputy chief – represent the most significant mass resignation at the Justice Department since February.

At that time, five leaders and supervisors of the department’s Public Integrity Section, which investigates public officials for possible corruption, resigned rather than comply with an appointee of President Donald Trump’s orders to dismiss the bribery case against then-New York mayor Eric Adams.

The whole episode was captured on video. There is not much to investigate. I take the traditional view on these cases, which is to give the cops the benefit of the doubt and to understand that when you put police in a position to make split-second decisions, the best decision may not always be made. The fact that the ICE agent was hit by the car, to me, is the tipping point for calling this a legal shoot. It may not have been a perfect shoot, but it was legal. Kind of like a basketball game when a player is shooting free throws to tie the game with 0:1 second to go and an opposing crowd screaming at you—sometimes you choke.

Good to see four communist, socialist, marxist, globalist,TDS lawyers leave the DOJ.

Now that the four are no longer blocking the exit doors, let’s get rid of the rest.

“Good riddance to those the resigned.”

+1
I’ve seen the videos and only some deranged person would think that the officer was in the wrong.

When did the DOJ get a “Civil Rights Division”?

Sounds pretty partisan to me? Does that division work for the NAACP or “Black Lives Matter” or LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ masters?

Sloppy work.

A bullet hole in Good’s windshield proves the ICE agent was in front of her vehicle when he shot her.

The bullet hole in the windshield aligns with the bullet hole in the edge of the headrest behind the driver without blood or splattered brains on it proves that he missed the first shot. He was bumped, rolled out of the way, regained his footing, turned 90° and fired twice through the open window. Hence, he knew that he had missed and went for the kill after he was no longer in the direct path of the vehicle. I get why he continued to fire, but that appears to be the sequence.
