President Trump has found a powerful but obscure bulwark in the appeals court judges he appointed during his first term. They have voted overwhelmingly in his favor when his administration’s actions have been challenged in court in his current term, a New York Times analysis of their 2025 records shows.
Time and again, appellate judges chosen by Mr. Trump in his first term reversed rulings made by district court judges in his second, clearing the way for his policies and gradually eroding a perception early last year that the legal system was thwarting his efforts to amass presidential power.
When Mr. Trump criticized a ruling from a so-called “Obama judge” in 2018, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. responded that “we do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges.”
But the data suggests that in the 13 appellate courts, there is increasingly such a thing as a Trump judge. The president’s appointees voted to allow his policies to take effect 133 times and voted against them only 12 times. Ninety-two percent of their total votes were in favor of the administration. That figure far outstrips support for Mr. Trump’s agenda from appeals court judges appointed by other Republican presidents, and from Mr. Trump’s appointees to the district courts......
The correlation between ideology and voting among judges in the Times analysis extended beyond those appointed by Mr. Trump. Appellate judges appointed by Democratic presidents voted against Mr. Trump’s agenda 73 percent of the time, compared to 32 percent of the time by appellate judges appointed by Republicans......
Mr. Trump signed 225 executive orders last year; Mr. Biden signed 162 over four years in office.

Yes, I agree 100%. I didn’t even bother to read the article, but I’m sure that they also failed to point out that most of these cases start in a judge shopped district with a proven left-wing legislate from the bench judge, and when the insanity starts moving up the chain, it quickly gets kiboshed by the adults in the room
Identify the 12 who voted against Trump. Replace them and prosecute them for judicial misconduct. It’s time to stop playing around.
Wonder if the NYT did their own research or had to rely on MS NOW reporting.
Maybe they could do some research and report on how it doesn’t make any difference what the courts rule anyway, the liberal judges ate going to do whatever they want . . .

Trump is right most of the time. What’s the problem? In my estimation Trump is right all the time in matters of his job as president
The editors at the Times thinks an opposition party, considered greatly in democratic governance, is hatred and obstruction to any Republican and especially President Trump.
The Times editors think everyone should think this. They don’t.
Would the Times be interested in reporting this story? Probably not. Probably not a group that was urged to rule in President Trump’s favor in any case:

The NYTs is a trash paper anymore. It is trying to say that the appeals judges are being political otherwise there wouldn’t be so many wins for Trump. But, it is the district judges who were shopped for their political views who are giving political rulings. But apparently the biased, unethical writers at the NY Times are incapable of understanding this.

M-SNOW(job) and SeeNoNews propagandizes. Reporting or investigative journalism requires actual effort, a modicum of talent and a soul that hasn't had the spirit of curiosity crushed out of it. A passion for truth is quickly detected and eradicated.
The wondrous thing is that President Trump seems to have, during his first term, foreseen the Democrats utilizing the judicial system as a weapon so stressed getting so many judges approved then to counter the coming villainy.
I'd like to know how many of auto-pen's Biden's Executive Orders were counters to President Trump's policies and how few were not. An even smaller pile would be E.O.s that helped, not hurt, America.

Roberts lied about a bunch of other things too.
“It’s OK when we do it!!!!” is the extent of their thought processes.
