Amid the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities, federal agents have threatened to arrest onlookers, following through on that threat at least once.
Social media is also full of videos of civilian watchdogs blowing whistles and honking car horns to alert others as agents attempt to stop or detain people they believe to be illegal immigrants.
One of them is Lucia Webb, who was boxed in and confronted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents after following them in her car last week.

Mind your own business and let them do their job. How about that?
Dunno.
Maybe the first tips is don’t attempt to murder an ICE agent with your car.
As a retiree and a veteran, I would seriously consider working for ICE for only health bennies, lodging and M&IE just to arrest and process these people for interference and let the younger folks do the heavy lifting for their salaries.
They can call it whatever they want, but right now it’s simply ‘interfering with law enforcement’ and is actionable in a big way.
Just my opinion. Still don’t understand why America didn’t crack down on “sanctuary cities” as soon as they first declared themselves.
Mind yo business is not in the training of TDS sufferers
It really hacks me off these leftists think they can play “civilian watchdogs” when all they are doing is alerting people in the area to the presence of ICE.
Those two execrable women in Minneapolis were playing at self-appointed (but meaningless) “Legal Observers.” When they cross the line to interference, they pay the price. As it should be.
Making video recordings of public servants carrying out their duties in public is protected by the First Amendment. Protesting against them is also protected by the First Amendment.
Physically impeding them or preventing them carrying out their duties is obstruction, a felony.
The late lamented (not) lesbian who got shot yesterday was committing obstruction and assault with a deadly weapon when she suddenly began assuming room temperature.
Oh wait, they are. Between Soros Open Society NGO'S and Somalian Minneapolis schemes, I don't think any more than 25% of leftists in Minneapolis are actually employed in any capacity beyond grifting and bitch for hire.
Shun the state. Shun the residents. Cut off every federal penny. In a year they will be the little bitch dog begging for scraps.
Physically impeding them or preventing them carrying out their duties is obstruction, a felony.
That is worth repeating, and something that all the leftists involved in these "protests" seem to have forgotten.
Standing on a public sidewalk holding signs or taking video is fine, blocking a street isn't.
The line between following a government employee in order to record them, or ask them questions for news, and following the government employee in order to interfere with their activities is a more difficult to establish boundary.
What is it that women love about murderers and rapists?
Any attempt by anyone to obstruct justice should be heavily prosecuted, along with the seizure and confiscation of any vehicles involved. Then, investigate if they were involved in a wider conspiracy to obstruct justice, and hit them with RICO charges.
If “60 Minutes” is allowed to chase a corporate or government official with a video camera, barking questions, then so am I. Freedom of the Press is for all of us, not just the professionals.
Several videos of this incident exist and have been published ... they combine (IMO) to show that the ICE agent acted correctly in shooting the late lamented lesbian. That’s a good thing. IMO.
RICO is what’s on my mind.
Cut the head off the damn snake.
Is MPR, aka Minnesota Public Radio, still getting any money from the Feds after the Feds forced the shutdown of Corporation for Public Broadcasting?
“””With an affordability crisis plaguing us all, you would think these leftist agitators would be working in a job every day.””””
These people are among 42 million other people who do work every day in the largest industry in the United States.
Defrauding the federal, state, and local welfare systems is big business and needs lots of employees.
Leftists need to consider all things before taking action.
Maybe time to revisit Chris Rock’s video “How to Keep From Getting Your Zzz Kicked By The Police”.
You’re not making my day.....
I wouldn’t be surprised if this “legal observer” talking point starts to disappear. Calling these clowns “legal observers” would imply that they have a better understanding of their legal obligations and limitations than your ordinary civilian protestor would. This paints “Grand Theft Auto Karen” in a very different light than what the initial reports had indicated.
