Jan 3 (Reuters) - Venezuela will resist the presence of foreign troops, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said in a video early on Saturday, as U.S. President Donald Trump said Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had been captured and was being removed from the country.
A U.S. attack on the country in the early morning struck civilian areas, Padrino said, and Venezuela is compiling information about dead and injured people.

Meanwhile, video show Venezuelans dancing in the streets. What's next for you, Padrino? Do you die on your sword fighting El Yankee or slink back into the shadows?
JDAM his head.
Next?
Were not putting troops in Venezuela. The people will take care of the rest of the problem. We got rid of Maduro and broke up the drug cartel.
Would our troops be greeted as liberators, as in Italy during WWII?

“Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino”
It would be funny if he was spotted cashing the fifty million dollar reward check.
Lol.
Exactly. It was over before they even woke up this guy so he could spout off at us.
He’s just been appointed Venezuelan Information Minister. The infidels are committing suicide at the gates of Caracas!!!
Look for him to send out death squads for all his political enemies and try to attribute the dead bodies to American military.
Killing drug dealing countries one at a time. Love it.

Too late.....we’re already gone! đŸ˜†
Iran, Russia, Cuba, and China lose one agent-puppet.
next volunteers?
See? It’s already working.
Of course, there will be from Maduro loyalists and those that resent us instigating a regime in Venezuela.
There is reason to believe there will be anything by chaos in Venezuela unless we want to go in and nation build.
ROTFL! Yeah! Okay.
Shouldn't we do the same thing in Mexico? Mexican drug cartels have trafficked a lot more drugs in this nation than Venezuela. Multiple Mexican Presidents, including the current one, have been in bed with the cartels there.
Wonder how many drug lords houses went boom last night.
It’s probably no coincidence that Iranians, or rather Persians, are demonstrating against the Mullahs to get their Shah back.
fascinating stuff
did Venezuela’s government collapse? Or will other Chavistas come to the fore?
Venezuela has lived for 30 years under socialism - there certainly will be some bitter-clingers who want to remain in power or may try to organize a war.
How much on-the-ground power will the US-supported President in exile have?
Just like Iraq - we’ve deposed the dictator. Now come the key decisions which will mold Venezuela for a generation, and Trump’s legacy.
I’m assuming Padrino has a deal. They had been talking to him, hoping he would do the job himself. This is probably a better strategy, it allows Padrino some deniability with regard to any bags of money under the table.
