The man accused of planting two pipe bombs outside the Democratic and Republican national committee offices on the eve of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot gave a “detailed confession” after he was arrested, prosecutors said Sunday.
After initially denying involvement, Brian Cole Jr. told investigators after his arrest that he became “bewildered” by claims the 2020 election had been stolen from President Trump and believed someone needed to “speak up” on behalf of people who thought the allegations of election fraud were true, according to a Justice Department memo.
Cole explained that “something just snapped” after “watching everything, just everything getting worse,” prosecutors said, and he targeted the political parties because they were “in charge.” He denied targeting Congress or the Jan. 6, 2021, joint session where the electoral votes of the 2020 presidential election were set to be certified.
“I really don’t like either party at this point,” Cole said, according to the memo.
The memo, which argues in favor of Cole’s continued detention as the case proceeds, is the government’s most detailed account of statements allegedly made by the suspect so far — including what he said was his process for building the two pipe bombs.
At first, Cole denied building or planting the pipe bombs and said he had driven himself to attend a 2020 election protest on the evening of Jan. 5, 2021, prosecutors said. However, he later changed his tune.

I call BS....were this true, the biden cabal would’ve locked him up on January 22, 2021 and paraded him around as the face of “Donald Trump’s insurrection”....something here stinks....

Horse feathers! Whoever it was said what they told him to. Did they actually do the deed? I very seriously doubt it.
Cole is a perfect anti Trump FBI groomed cut out.
Check for a payoff.

Buying materials and assembling them into explosive devices and placing them next to political party headquarters requires intent and careful planning.
He may be a wolf, but I doubt he was "lone".
But if I recall correctly earlier reports from the FBI and DOJ said that he had bought some of the components used in the pipe bombs before the election. How did he know in advance that the election would be "stolen" as he supposedly now says?
"The pipe bombs placed outside the RNC and DNC contained a mix of both black and galvanized end caps. The end caps had markings consistent with Pipe Manufacturer’s product labeling. COLE purchased a total of 12 black end caps and 2 galvanized end caps from four different Home Depots in northern Virginia on or about the following dates: October 22, 2019, and March 10, June 20, July 8, and November 16, 2020"
So either the DOJ's statements about the purchases of the pipe bomb parts are incorrect, even though they are based on sworn statements, or Brian Cole was able to time-travel, or somehow he knew something in advance which led him to be "bewildered" by the 2020 election results back in 2019.
Seems logical to me.
How did Cole "snap" more than a year before the election when he is alleged to have started buying parts for the "pipe bombs".
