Border Patrol officials said the first mile of the new "smart border wall" has been completed in Arizona's Tucson Sector...

...Earlier this year, CBP and the Department of Homeland Security announced 10 new contracts valued at $4.5 billion to add a "Smart Wall" along the southwest border. One of the contracts was to construct 23 miles of new secondary border wall and 66 miles of system attributes in Arizona.

"The Smart Wall is a border security system that combines steel barriers, waterborne barriers, patrol roads, lights, cameras, and advanced detection technology to give Border Patrol agents the best tools in the world to stop illegal traffic," CBP wrote in a statement about the border barriers.

CBP is utilizing funds from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to construct the new border system.

A map showing where segments of the "Smart Wall" are under construction and planned can be found here: https://www.cbp.gov/border-security/along-us-borders/smart-wall-map

Over 100 miles of primary Border Wall have already been built this year - but the main effort (over $40 Billion), fully funded in the Big Beautiful Bill, is still working its way through the contracting process.

The pace of construction is accelerating. 2026 is on track to be a boom year for border wall construction.

The whole Program is scheduled to complete construction before the end of the current Trump Administration (January 2029).

Complete Operational Control of the Border.

Sadly, nothing about electrification, water beasts, or slippery wall coatings...

I want to know if the costs of the cartels’ underground tunnel is factored into the budget or if they’ll just cover it themselves with fentanyl/human smuggling profits?

Those crime organizations didn’t buy and corrupt all those Arizona politicians and judicial people to just stand on their hands.

I live in Tucson. The largest school system here saw a 30% decrease in enrollment this year, wonder why? My bet is since it is close to the border the Mexicans were dragging their kids here during the week with momasetia here getting a free education. Trump’s policies changed that!

Thanks for reporting. I remember your posting about the wall in Trump’s first term.

The last time Trump was in office that border wall was going up at a pace that was stunning. Glad to see that is returning.

“No mention ...” - yeah, no mention of ED-209 patrol droids either.

Kidding aside, the only true deterrent will be if sudden, violent death is the reward for attempting the breach the wall.

Now do the same for the northern border with Canuckistan.

Love Smart Border Wall.

We can make a smart lightning/plasma wall, a bug zapper writ large, following the Nikola Tesla plan.:

Billions on more Big Tech, but where are the mass deportations? (Not onesy-twosy “bad hombres”.)

I’d be ecstatic if it included armed ROVs and area denial munitions (drone origin or otherwise).

But I’ll take it.

We’ve already caused 2.5+ million to be deported in the past year and the rate is accelerating. So yes, there’s also mass deportation.

"We’ve already caused 2.5+ million to be deported in the past year and the rate is accelerating. So yes, there’s also mass deportation."

But we were told that it was impossible to deport millions of illegals. It couldn't be done. President Trump would be wasting time even trying.
