Democrats’ favorite word lately is "affordability." They have painted the false narrative that the election of socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani in solidly blue New York City or Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger in solidly blue Virginia were somehow referenda on President Donald Trump’s agenda. This fallacy not only ignores the recent past but also misses the facts immediately in front of us that Trump’s policies are making America affordable again.
Prices soared during the Biden administration. Inflation rose at a near 5% annualized rate during his term. Such a disaster is second only to the severe Carter-led inflation of the 1970s, which collapsed U.S. living standards. Contrast this with Trump’s first term, when inflation rose at less than a 2% annualized rate.
The memory of low inflation and strong economic growth during Trump’s first term inspired Americans to re-elect him for a second term. Voters put their trust in Trump’s stewardship after a disastrous four years of economic hardship under Biden. Immediately after taking office, Trump began laying the groundwork for a Golden Age economy. While there is still much work ahead to help Americans out of the hole created by the Biden administration, we are making progress.
The first step was passing the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB), which will help Make America Affordable Again. There are three key provisions in the OBBB that will boost take-home worker pay.

It’s all about EVIDENCE. The cheerleaders keep insisting inflation is dropping, meanwhile I just had a $166 grocery trip, for what was maybe $120 2 years ago. Life is NOT more affordable right now. And anybody saying it is is a LIAR.
Most prices have continued to spurt upwards .. I lay this at the Biden administation’s doorstep as they result from their policies.
However, most voters live in real time. Prices going up are blamed on the president sitting in the Oval Office.
I do not know how PDJT can get prices visibly down in the next few months. If he has a way, superduper! If not, prepare for a very challenging miderm election...

I checked. Can’t find any complaints you had about the price of groceries under Biden. Tell me how much your grocery bill would have to go down for you to be happy?
Nobody posted any flat out lies about Biden making things affordable. And they especially didn’t do it 10 minutes after I got home from the most expensive half a cart of groceries I’ve ever bought in my life.
Life is NOT getting affordable again. That is a lie. Period.

I have seen some things go down. The pizza sauce and swiss cheese brands I use. Home Depot deck screws for a 5lb box went from $35.97 to $29.97.

Most prices, other than meat, have stopped going up. That’s noticeable and verifiable. The general inflation is gone with a few exceptions. During Biden, everything was up. Big time up.
It’s unlikely to go down. That kind of deflation is rare. Stopping inflation as quickly as they did is real, and impressive.
Growth is strong. Wages will improve, and it will take another 6 to 12 months to notice.
The trend is good. Be patient. You can’t solve the massive destruction from the democrats over night.
No, it’s still going up. Just less than the Biden years. (Of course, a good chunk of the Biden-years inflation was fueled by Covid legislation passed under Trump...)
