Ukraine envoy Keith Kellogg ‘quits’ after plan for US peace leaked
The Telegraph via Yahoo ^ | November 19th, 2025 | Connor Stringer

Donald Trump’s Ukraine envoy Lt Gen Keith Kellogg is leaving the role, it has emerged hours after a US plan to end the war leaked.

Lt Gen Kellogg, 81, is expected to step down as US special envoy in January in a departure that will deal a hammer blow to Kyiv’s diplomatic efforts to end the war on favourable terms.

The retired general has been a key advocate for Ukraine inside the Trump administration at a time when the White House’s support for Kyiv has dwindled.

His position as special presidential envoy is a temporary designation, and such envoys in theory must be confirmed by the US Senate to stay in their positions past 360 days.

But as he approaches that time limit, Lt Gen Kellogg has indicated to his associates that January would be a natural departure point, according to Reuters.

The old neocon and Ukrainian partisan just can't take it anymore.

He was always a NATO acolyte. Their goals were his.

That said he served honorably, and was a real...in the mud...soldier in command of combat units.

Just could not jettison his conventional thinking.

He’s 81...let him spend the rest of his life with his family.

a key advocate for Ukraine

Ukraine is losing/has lost the war. Kellogg failed in his personal mission to start a war between NATO and Russia. He is now giving up.

If it was leaked they should punish those who leaked it.

I’m confused with NATO (sans Trump) even wants? They ACT like they are on some moral anti-Putin high ground, but they are just as in the pockets if oligarchs…Russian ones yes, plus Russian natural gas through Nordstream pipemine…but and Ukrainian oligarchs too. (Burisma and Hunter Biden also come to mind.)

He’s a “NATO acolyte” because there’s nothing wrong with NATO, having been the basis for peace in Western Europe for 80 years.

“because there’s nothing wrong with NATO”

NATO is a parasite sucking the life blood out of Americans.

Did anyone tell us his daughter is up to her neck in this war, and other wars?

Like daughter, like father, like all Neocons

The R.T. Weatherman Foundation

Meaghan Mobbs, the daughter of Keith Kellogg, US President Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, is the president of the R.T. Weatherman Foundation. The foundation has been actively supporting Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. It has established and run a logistics hub on the Romanian-Ukrainian border, delivering over 10,000 pallets of medicines, medical supplies, and other aid to more than 70 Ukrainian hospitals and humanitarian organizations. The foundation also helps evacuate American volunteers wounded fighting in Ukraine and facilitates the repatriation of American soldiers killed in action. Additionally, the foundation coordinated and sponsored Keith Kellogg’s trip to Ukraine in January 2023, where he testified before the US Senate, declaring that Ukraine must be enabled to defeat the Russian army.

NATO is there to prevent invasion of Western Europe, which is absolutely vital to America.

We have two major parts to this world those are Asia and Europe.

Africa is big but not strategically or economically important at this time.

The idea that America can survive when Europe or Asia fall into hostile hands is fanciful at best.

That we have folks who don’t understand that, is troubling.

Little things like trade, vital sea lanes, allies, yes freedom - we can’t survive without them.

I guess it wasn’t an intentional leak.

I guessed it was intentional to test the waters.

That said, nothing in there is surprising.

A peace come earlier and negotiated or later if forced through attrition will more or less look like this.

Of course if somehow the political forces on our side keep this going, things will only look worse later (not sure how that is good for Ukraine), i.e greater land concessions will be made.

Here are some amazing aspects to consider when trying to evaluate just how bad of a Biden policy disaster this is.

Ukraine failed at achieving their military (hold onto land) and political (NATO membership) objectives.

Public opinion in the US, Europe, and even Ukraine are against the war at this point.

Continuing the war only worsens Ukraine’s position.

The biggest beneficiary of this war was China. From arms exports (for money), awesome oil and gas deals, to a massive trade boom with Russia filling in nearly every void created by Western goods and services being pulled from the market (cars, phones, computers, textiles, appliances...), to China assuming a greater leadership role in BRICS... It is China that is the only true winner without paying any penalty.

And yet there are those that think this was a good idea.

Actually, Ukraine is starting to win. Russia’s economy is in terrible shape, something even the leadership of the Russian central bank has now admitted. That’s why this neo-Soviet “peace plan” Russia is trying to shove down America’s throat (then pretending it’s an American peace-plan) is doomed from the start. No normal person could accept a proposal that reads more like a blueprint for endless war than any kind of settlement. The document itself, incredibly amateruish, written in bad English, was obviously drafted in the Kremlin and rushed out today in a panic. Yes, Russia’s oil industry won’t survive much longer the Ukrainian onslaught. It’s getting trashed, by Ukraine’s long-distance missiles and drones.

Russia, the so-called second army of the planet, has spent four years fighting on the same stretch of Ukrainian land and STILL cannot control the four oblasts it theatrically declared “Russian.” How is it that little Ukraine, thirty times smaller, continues to resist so effectively? Well… many Ukrainians are sons of Vikings. That’s why.
And in Moscow, founded more than five centuries AFTER Kyiv, the descendants of disorganised Mongols still wonder why they can’t seem to stand up to a determined Ukrainian.

NeoSoviet Russia and their commie friends in Venezuela, Iran, China and North Korea are crazy if they think this Kremlin peace-plan has any chance to be implements. It’s so amateurishly done I actually had a good laugh when I got more info about it.
